Montana Winter Cabin Stay

My brother Dario graduated from Montana State University last week with his Bachelors in Physiscs. My family and I drove 10 hours to be there for his graduation. We are so proud of him! My sister Rocio and I stayed a few days longer to help my brother pack to move to Spokane. His friend had invited him to stay at his cabin so we came along.

The beautiful cabin was located about 15 min outside of Anaconda, Montana. My sister and I had never stayed in a cabin this nice before so we really enjoyed it! The snow covered cabins and trees were so beautiful. It was the perfect winter scene for the holiday season! Luckily we brought a ton of warm clothes so we were able to keep warm in the freezing weather.

I grew up in an outdoor loving family! We always spent our summers camping, fishing, and hiking. So I really appreciated the beauty at the cabin. My parents have always wanted a family cabin. They’ve been in the process of looking for one. It was fun to imagine our family spending time at a cabin like this one!

Rocio and I had a ton of fun taking pictures, exploring, and drinking hot cocoa on the porch while enjoying the scenery. At night we roasted marshmallows in the fire. It was the perfect winter cabin stay!

XOXO

  1. Congratulations to your brother! The cabin looks super cozy too. By the way, your photos are really good 🙂 Wish we have snow here in Sydney too haha.

  2. I love your cozy winter outfit! Great neutral colors. 🙂 Your cabin looks very nice and spacious too. I LOVE the scenery (many trees). I would love to visit around that area someday.

  3. What a fabulous way to spend a winter day! I love staying in cabins for a relaxing vacation. And, congrats to your brother! That’s an awesome accomplishment!

  4. I’ve read a lot of werewolves books and from their descriptions, cabins are usually so cute; for a fact, the Montana cabin you went to is not an exception! It looks nice, the scenery is serene, especially the snow for me who has never experienced winter! Haha. Anyway, awesome photography and a million congratulations to your brother.

  5. Ahh, the picturesque cabin in the winter. It’s so pretty. I have been to Montana and it does have some nice scenery but I also know it is cold.

  6. Would you believe that I have never stayed in a cabin before-unless you count a treehouse haha. After watching your video on your cabin stay and hearing about how you grew up in an outdoor loving family, I think your review definitely gets a thumbs up from me. It looks absolutely beautiful. Where are you thinking of going next?

  7. I don’t usually like the cold, especially with this deep freeze we’re in. I do like snow. And if it’s as pretty as this, I’d be a happy camper!

  8. I have never lived in a cabin but this cabin seems to be very beautiful living there would be a lot of fun. I am amazed by the beauty of yours and this place in the photographs.

  9. Montana is on my bucket list! you know places that just seem to pull at your heart strings and for some reason you deeply want to go there and explore? well that’s how I feel about Montana… thanks for sharing your story ; )

  10. This cabin looks so beautiful! I love how authentic it looks as well. I have never been to Montana, but am hoping to go to Glacier National Park sometime in the near future!

  11. What an awesome family experience, one that will never be forgotten. Congratulations to your brother and I hope your family buys that cabin one day soon. How fun would that be.

  12. Would so love to try something like this. Hubby just doesn’t enjoy outdoor activities and he certainly isn’t as adventurous. Thanks for allowing me live through your beautiful post even if it was just for a brief moment!

  13. Sounds wonderful! I’ve never stayed in a cabin in the snow, but the way you describe it and the pictures are just dreamy. You and Rocio should apply for a new version of the “Last Christmas”-video 😉
And congrats to and on your brother!

  14. This place looks like a dream. We have a very mild winter in Europe so far, and I miss the snow (even though I heard that nowadays in America you have way too much of it 🙁 ) so I’m a bit envious seeing these wonderful pictures.

  15. It looks so fun and cozy!! What kind of boots are you wearing?? I’m looking for some good snow boots but haven’t found any I loved yet.

  16. What a beautiful little cabin! It’s so neat that you got to go for such a celebratory reason, too! Congratulations to your brother and the whole family. Cheers, friend.

  17. This is such a cosy place like I would not mind to be a bit cold outside for this! Could happily imagine myself drinking a hot chocolate there, X

  18. OMG this place looks incredible and your photos are beautiful! Adding this place to my bucket list for sure! Seems to make winter less boring!
