What To Do In Palm Springs
Over Thanksgiving, I flew to Phoenix, AZ, where my parents have retired to spend Thanksgiving with my family! My parents had a hotel deal in Palm Springs for a week so after Thanksgiving we drove there from Phoenix so that I could enjoy a couple of days in Palm Springs with my parents and sister. I had never been to Palm Springs before so I was super excited to check it out! I had a few places I definitely wanted to check out, some of which were closed due to Covid, but it was still fun. I’m sharing all of the spots I loved in this blog post!
The Saguaro Palm Springs
I’ve always loved looking at the colorful images of The Saguaro hotel so we stopped by to check it out! The rainbow colored hotel is gorgeous and it’s a very unique hotel. I’ll have to book a stay there the next time I visit Palm Springs.
Joshua Tree
Joshua Tree truly is such a magical place! As we were driving through the park I was truly mesmerized at times wondering how these rock formations and beautiful things came to be. It was truly unique! I would definitely recommend stopping for Cholla Cactus Garden, Skull Rock, and Hidden Valley. I have wanted to explore Joshua Tree for so long and I’m glad I got to check it off my bucket list!
Hotel California
This isn’t the real Hotel California of course but it still made for a fun photo opp!

Moorten Botanical Garden
I am OBSESSED with cacti and so is my dad funny enough so we decided to stop at the Moorten Botanical Garden, the world’s first cactarium, filled with extraordinary desert plants from around the world! We absolutely loved it, especially the greenhouse. You do have to pay to get in but it’s only $5 per adult.

Vintage Shopping
Since Palm Springs is THE place for everything mid-century modern, I figured vintage shopping was a must do and I was right! We found tons of mid-century decor, memorabilia, vintage clothes, records and more at the antique malls we visited. I was in HEAVEN! I couldn’t buy anything of course since I flew but it was so fun looking at everything. There were a ton of awesome looking vintage clothing stores too but they were closed when we visited. We stopped by 3 shops all located within the same block, the Sunny Dunes Antique Mall, Antique Galleries of Greater Palm Springs, and Bazaar DelaR.
Tour Mid Century Homes
I am obsessed with everything mid-century modern so this was a must do on my trip to Palm Springs! I’ve had these homes pinned on my Pinterest boards for so long so I was thrilled to be able to capture them myself. My parents drove us around this neighborhood to hunt for all the colorful doors! The streets we drove down were E Sierra Way, Yosemite, Alhambra, and the surrounding streets.
