8 Ways to Celebrate Galentine’s Day
Before I had a Valentine, I would always celebrate Galentine’s Day with friends! Even if you do have a Valentine, it’s always fun to hang out with your best gals and what better way to do that then by celebrating Galentine’s Day! Need some ideas on how to celebrate? I’ve got you covered! 😉
Have a Brunch Date
A perfect way to celebrate Galentine’s Day would be to go out to brunch with your gal pals! I don’t know about you guys but I always feel like I’m in Sex and the City when I go out to brunch with the ladies. It’s just so fun and it’s not something you do very often so it feels extra special. Treat yourself to a mimosa while your at it! 😉
Watch Chick Flicks
When I was in high school, all of my single friends and I would go out to the movies on Valentine’s Day and watch a chick flick. We’d get tons of candy and popcorn to munch on during the movie. Now I know the movies can be a little spendy but you can always invite your gals over to watch chick flicks at home instead! It’s just as fun either way.
Go Wine Tasting
Wine tasting would be such a fun way to celebrate Galentine’s Day! You and all of your friends could dress up just a little bit to feel fancy. A lot of the wineries in the Portland area that don’t serve food allow you to bring food. It would be so fun to have everyone bring snacks and blankets for a picnic! Just make sure that you have a Designated Driver!
Have a Sleepover/Girls Night In
It would be so fun to throw a sleepover party and deck your space out with Valentine’s Decor like balloons and garlands! Have everyone bring red or pink pajamas for an Instagram photo opp 😉 You could also pick up a heart shaped pizza, decorate heart shaped sugar cookies, and watch chick flicks!
Craft Night
Who doesn’t love a good DIY? A Valentine’s themed craft night would be so fun to do with friends! You could DIY a floral wall hanging, candles, bath salts, etc.! You can make the DIY’s as simple or challenging as you would like to. Once you’ve decided what the DIY’s are going to be, have everyone bring a material to contribute. Here are some of my favorite DIY’s. Wall Hanging. Bath Salts. Flower Pom Hanging.
Take a Road Trip
I love the idea of a road trip with your closest friends to explore a nearby city for the day! Seattle is about 2-3 hours away from Portland and would be perfect for a quick road trip. Road trips convos area always fun and you can hit up a few tourist locations, restaurants, and shops! Enjoy a fun little getaway 🙂
Secret Cupid
Instead of a Secret Santa, throw a Secret Cupid party! Have everyone bring a gift under $15 and then draw names. Some ideas would be chocolates, candles, and bath products. It’s always fun to give and receive gifts from friends on Valentine’s Day!
Pizza Party
A fun Galentine’s Day idea would be to throw a pizza party! You could either pick up some heart shaped pizza from your local pizza store or pick up all the ingredients you would need to make your own heart shaped pizzas. Have everyone bring an ingredient or some cash to contribute and then enjoy the pizzas while watching a chick flick or having some good old girl talk!
