Our first trip to Savannah was one we won’t soon forget, and staying at Municipal Grand made the experience even more memorable. Traveling with my husband and our toddler, we were looking for a hotel that was beautiful, comfortable, and centrally located—and Municipal Grand checked every box. From the moment we arrived, the valet team made everything effortless. They were incredibly quick whenever we needed our rental car, which made exploring beyond downtown completely stress-free.

We loved our stay at Municipal Grand, with its retro mid-century style, incredibly comfortable rooms, and one of the most beautiful hotel bathrooms I’ve ever seen. Located right in the heart of downtown Savannah, it made exploring the city so easy. We spent our days strolling through the historic streets, popping into shops, and enjoying everything the city had to offer without needing to drive. One evening, we walked to The Darling Oyster Bar for dinner, and before heading home the morning of our flight, we grabbed breakfast at Pritchard & Co.—both just an easy walk from the hotel. Back at Municipal Grand, we also loved spending time at Municipal Grand Bar. We enjoyed breakfast there one morning and stopped in another afternoon for appetizers, where the truffle fries quickly became a favorite. The convenience of having such a great restaurant just downstairs—plus the option for room service—made traveling with a toddler so much easier. When we wanted a little downtime, the rooftop pool was the perfect place to relax while taking in beautiful views of the Savannah skyline.

Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or your very first visit to Savannah like we were, I can’t recommend Municipal Grand enough. Between its thoughtful design, comfortable accommodations, convenient amenities, and unbeatable downtown location, it truly felt like the perfect home base for exploring the city. We left already talking about our next trip back—and we’ll definitely be staying here again.
