I’m Esperanza, a farm girl from Eastern Washington. I’m Italian and Irish on my dad’s side, and my mom is from Colombia. I have a degree in interior design, which is a huge passion of mine. I have an older brother who lives in Salem and a younger sister who lives in Los Angeles.

I’ve been a lifestyle blogger and content creator for over 8 years. During my 20s, I moved around the country, which allowed me to create a lot of travel content. I’ve lived in Portland, OR; Nashville, TN; and Pittsburgh, PA.

My parents retired in Phoenix over five years ago, and I eventually moved there too, after splitting from my partner of almost 10 years—just over halfway through my pregnancy, which was a very tough time. After about a year of being single, I decided to start dating again. I joined a dating app, and on the very first day, I met my current partner, Andrew! After a few weeks of chatting, he flew from Portland to Phoenix to meet Sage and me, and that’s when we officially started dating. A few months later, we moved into a rental home together.

Andrew is a chef and food consultant, so we’re both able to work remotely while caring for my son—which is amazing!

The Urban Darling has brought me so many amazing opportunities. I’ve traveled to Europe with Expedia, visited incredible U.S. cities like Columbus with Experience Columbus, and collaborated with countless amazing brands. The list goes on!
