A week after our wedding, we met our photographer at a stunning historic mission just outside of Tucson—a place that once sat high on our list of potential venues. In the end, it didn’t make sense logistically, but the beauty of it never left my mind. Heading there for our bridal sunset session felt serendipitous, like the universe was letting us experience that dream in a different, more intimate way.
Not only have we been celebrating all of Sage’s first holidays, but Andrew and I have been celebrating all of our first holidays together too, which is really special! I can’t believe that after 4 months of dating, we didn’t have a single photo of just the two of us. It was about time to correct that, so we thought we would get dressed up in honor of our first New Year’s Eve together. It was really fun seeing each other in our fancy party attire, and I think we look pretty snazzy if I do say so myself!
I’m so happy to finally be able to share our wonderful news: WE’RE PREGNANT! Schyler and I have been wanting this for quite awhile now and I have wanted to be a mom since I was a little girl, so I’m thrilled to finally be starting this journey into motherhood. It has been so hard keeping this a secret but I’m so excited to be sharing more about my pregnancy moving forward!
I am finally getting around to sharing this blog post that I have been meaning to sit down and write! If you have been following along on our moving journey here on the blog or on socials, you may be wondering what happened to our plan to leave Pittsburgh and move to Las Vegas! You can read more about the pros and cons of this decision in this blog post here. I’ve addressed this on my Instagram here and in this YouTube vlog that Schyler and I filmed, but I wanted to share a life update on here as well as I have gotten so many questions about it!
I’m so excited to finally be sharing this beautiful bridal photo shoot that Schyler and I worked so hard on! This is the exciting photo shoot that I had been hinting at over the past few months on socials and finally got the chance to edit. We were battling with the wind at our photo location the day of the shoot (which kept knocking over our baskets lol) but I am so happy with how these photos turned out. I know that Schyler and I will cherish these photos forever and I love that we will be able to show them to our kids one day with pride!
Since we have been back home in Tri-Cities, WA, Schyler and I have been amazed at how many cute shops, murals, and new businesses have opened in the past 6+ years we’ve been gone! We saw this white brick wall while scouting for photo spots and antiquing at the retro Uptown Mall in Richland and thought it would be perfect for a fun Valentine’s photo shoot. These vintage inspired looks were very fitting for the location 😉 We picked up these fun pink and red balloons, the perfect prop for a Valentine’s shoot!
I’m manifesting more moments and places like this for 2023! My fiance Schyler and I are all settled in to our room at his dad’s house where we have been staying for a few weeks already (time has flown by). If you are new here, we are in the process of moving from Pittsburgh to Las Vegas, more on that in this blog post here. We are loving being home in Eastern Washington, especially now that so many cute spots have opened up in our hometown of Tri-Cities, WA and it has been great to visit with family too! Schyler and I decided to drive out to the Hanford Reach National Monument in the beautiful Colombia Basin to explore and shoot some outdoor photos. It was absolutely stunning just before twilight and I’m so glad we were able to capture it together!
Fall is in full peak here in Pittsburgh with a kaleidoscope of autumnal colors everywhere! We live very close to Highland Park in Pittsburgh’s East End so we decided to head there to take a few fall photos this season. The trees looked so beautiful and made the perfect backdrop for our little photo session. My boys looked so handsome and Schyler took some cute shots of just Indio and mommy too!
Our apartment has actually been decorated for fall since October 1st, but it was such a busy month for us that I wasn’t able to shoot photos or sit down to write this post until now! We currently live in an old Pittsburgh loft apartment that I’ve styled with boho chic home decor. I decorated with a few simple autumnal touches that compliment the boho style perfectly and still feel very festive. I love taking photos with my boys for the memories and this quick at home photo session turned out so cute!
After a super busy month, we were finally able to make it out to one of the local pumpkin patches here in Pittsburgh! We have visited a different patch every year since moving here, this year we decided to visit Soergel Orchards & Garden Center. It only took us half an hour to get there and the fall leaves along the drive were stunning! They had several gift shops, restaurants, farm animals, a garden center, and more in addition to the cutest patch with lots of colorful pumpkins. It was the perfect spot for our annual pumpkin patch photo shoot!
