Now that the weather has finally cooled down here in Pittsburgh, I was able to bring out my leather jackets and my vintage leather pants! I have quite the vintage leather collection (if I do say so myself!) that I’ve thrifted over the years and I try to style my leather pieces whenever I can. I’ve rounded up some fun pieces from Madewell that are perfect for transitioning into the fall season this year! I love neutral + earth tone colors for fall and some of these pieces have pretty simple prints that give farmer chic vibes. We celebrated my 29th birthday this week with a city outing, games, and cake of course! 😉 I can’t believe I’m only one year away from 30, which is both exciting and a little frightening to me at the same time… I’m looking forward to our destination wedding next year (we are shooting for late spring, more on that soon) and hopefully starting our family next year! These discussions have made me reflect on myself and what I want for my life more than ever.

In today’s blog post I wanted to share the outfits I wore during my trip to Phoenix in April! We spent a lot of the days during my visit driving from coffee shops to restaurants to Phoenix sights so I had to make sure my outfits were super comfortable. During my Phoenix visit, I was able to meet my parent’s horse Maverick! My parents retired in the Phoenix area 3+ years ago now and board a horse nearby. Growing up on a farm in Eastern Washington, my parents had a ton of horses, so I grew up training and riding horses. Since graduating high school, I’ve always lived in a city so I don’t really get the chance to ride horses often. It was so fun getting the chance to ride again after 5+ years!

Schyler and I have been trying to catch the cherry blossoms in bloom here in Pittsburgh for weeks now! It seemed like we were waiting forever, we had such a long winter here in Pittsburgh, but we finally got to enjoy them this Easter on the Pittsburgh waterfront. The view of the Pittsburgh cityscape through the blossoms was breathtaking!
