I am in the process of decorating our Pittsburgh loft apartment that we have been living in for about 3 months now. I’ve thrifted a ton of our decor and furniture from thrift stores but some stuff you just can’t find while thrifting (unless you’re really lucky) and those kinds of pieces I’ve ordered from Amazon! I wasn’t sure what to do with it because there is such a long wall and due to space planning there isn’t really enough room for furniture. So I decided to make a gallery wall!

I’m so glad to finally be sharing our Nashville apartment tour! For those of you guys that are new here, I moved across the country (a 46 hour drive!) from Portland, OR, to Nashville, TN with my boyfriend and labradoodle puppy Indio. We could only bring whatever fit in the back of my jeep! So it took me quite a while to collect enough decor and furniture to fill this apartment, especially on a small budget, but I did it lol. The complex we live in, The Anson, is a brand new apartment complex so the interiors are all updated and very modern which I love, but I really wanted my apartment to have a bohemian feel to it. So I hit up a ton of thrift stores and found super cute bohemian home decor + furniture pieces (which inspired me to start Urban Darling Shop!) and I love the result of my modern, bohemian apartment.

We just moved in to the most beautiful, brand new apartment building in Nashville! As you guys know, we moved across the country from Portland, OR so we had to leave all of our furniture at home and moved with only the essentials in the back of our car. Luckily, I was able to bring a few decor pieces to start with but the decorating process is definitely going to take awhile. I recently partnered with Tuft & Needle to take the #8hoursleepchallenge! I was given a linen duvet, linen sham sets, a new comforter, new pillows, and a new mattress all from Tuft & Needle, so that I could start the challenge in style. I don’t know about you guys, but when I love the way my bedroom looks, I am able to sleep so much better! What can I say, I’m a person that loves to be visually pleased (lol). A stylish and well organized room makes me happy!

Slowly but surely my apartment is coming together the way that I want it to! The most recent update has been in my bedroom. I don’t know about you guys, but my bedroom is always the last room to get decorated! I guess it makes sense because guests that are visiting aren’t going to be hanging out in your room right?! Bedrooms should be a happy place to escape to, which means that they should be as carefully designed as every other room in the house! My bed was in need of a fun throw blanket and pillows which I found from Mae Woven. Now my bedroom feels so much cozier and put together!
