Houseplants are one of my very favorite things in the world, along with coffee and home goods and luckily for me, most of these shops have all three! I’ve discovered these amazing little shops over the past year and a half of living in Pittsburgh. I thought I would share these gems for other plant lovers who live here, but also for anyone who just moved here or for those of you that my be visiting the Burgh. I hope you enjoy this post!
There are so many great coffee spots here in steel city that I had to make another blog post with more locations! I’m a major coffee lover, especially if the surroundings in which I will be enjoying my coffee in are super cute. I have been living in Pittsburgh now for over a year and I’m constantly amazed of the beauty here in the city of bridges! I live in Pittsburgh’s east end, very close to Butler St. in the Lawrenceville neighborhood. It’s a very popular shopping street here in Pittsburgh with lots of restaurants, boutiques, coffee shops, tattoo shops, and more to explore! I personally love spending the day walking down streets like this popping in to this store, grabbing a coffee, a late brunch, those are some of the things I really love enjoying in life. When we lived in Portland and Nashville, I shared lots of street + travel guides which are some of my most viewed blog posts! This beautiful place is hands down my favorite spot in Pittsburgh! This beautiful building reminds me of the stunning architecture in Paris. I have a huge affinity for everything Parisian so I instantly fell in love the first time I visited. I’m also obsessed with plants and I love botanical gardens! It’s called Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Garden and it’s located right next to the university area here in Pittsburgh. We finally made it over there to capture some photos for the blog and I love how they turned out.
After a year of living in Pittsburgh, restaurants are finally starting to open back up which I’m thrilled about! I love amazing food + interiors with great ambience. My background is in interior design so I really appreciate beautiful spaces, especially in commercial design. In this blog post I will be sharing some of the Pittsburgh restaurants I love and I will be adding to the list as I discover new spots. I can’t believe it’s been almost a year since we moved to Pittsburgh! This city is full of beautiful views, stunning architecture, and tons of character. Schyler and I were itching to take a road trip to a new city we hadn’t been to yet so we decided to check out Buffalo! One of the amazing things about living in Pittsburgh is that there are so many cities we can easily road trip to. Buffalo is only about 3 1/2 hours from Pittsburgh so it was perfect or a quick day and half trip. We also decided to road trip 30 min outside of Pittsburgh to see Niagra Falls which definitely made it a memorable trip. In this blog post, I’m sharing everything we managed to squeeze into our quick trip!
I love a good vintage store! It is like stepping into a candy store for me lol. We’ve been living in Pittsburgh for about 8 months now and I started finding some awesome spots right away.
