My sister Rocio and I took a spontaneous trip to Chicago last week. Chicago had been on our list of cities to see in the U.S. for a long time now so I’m so glad we got to check it off! We spent a total of 5 days in Chicago which was the perfect amount of time to see everything we wanted and more, while still finding some time to relax. I decided to create a Chicago Travel Guide with all of my favorite sights, places to eat, and places to stay! I hope you can find this guide helpful if you are planning a trip to Chicago.

March is Portland Dining Month and we kicked it off with a bang at St. Jack! The french cafe St. Jack opened on NW 23rd ten years ago. Ben Morris, the talented Chef de Cuisine at St. Jack, has been with the team since November of 2017. Not only is he gifted when it comes to creating food, he’s also excellent at executing his responsibilities at the cafe. St. Jack has had the same team for a long time so naturally the camaraderie at St. Jack is great, which is key for a successful restaurant!
Seattle Travel Guide: What To See Do & Eat
By Esperanza on January 12, 2018My parents recently bought a boat with a cabin that they dock in Seattle, Washington. So for Christmas, we decided to take a spontaneous trip to Seattle. We spent two days exploring the city and at night we relaxed on the boat. Seattle is a really fun city with a cool vibe! It’s a seaport city so you have the waterfront area to explore, great sea food, and tons of urban areas to discover. In this guide I will be sharing some of my favorite spots to explore and eat while in Seattle!
My brother Dario graduated from Montana State University last week with his Bachelors in Physiscs. My family and I drove 10 hours to be there for his graduation. We are so proud of him! My sister Rocio and I stayed a few days longer to help my brother pack to move to Spokane. His friend had invited him to stay at his cabin so we came along.
My friend McKenzie and I took a trip to the Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood last week. Neither of us had been to the lodge at this time of the year. We were hoping to get some wintery shots in the snow and evergreens and we were not disappointed! The whole area looked like a winter wonderland. I felt like I was in a scene from “White Christmas”.
This past weekend I went on the most beautiful hike in Silver Falls State Park with my sister, boyfriend, and a good friend. We were hoping to see some beautiful fall foliage in the forest and we were not disappointed! I couldn’t wait to wear my new Charlie Timeless Hat from Tinlid Hat Company. I felt super cute with my denim hat and hiking outfit.
Top 10 Things to Do in Barcelona, Spain
By Esperanza on September 10, 2017Barcelona, the capitol of Spain’s Catalonia region, is known for art, architecture, and the fantastical Art Nouveau landmarks designed by the famous Spanish architect Antoni Gaudi. I had wanted to see these magnificent buildings for so long and I was lucky enough to get to share the experience with my little sister on our recent trip to Europe. I’ve put together my top ten things to do in Barcelona along with tips to help you make the most of your trip! Bonus; at the end of this post you will find a list of some of my favorite coffee shops, restaurants, and views in the city.

Grab a cup of coffee, sit back, and enjoy!
There are endless amount of beautiful hikes, lakes, waterfalls, and state parks to explore in the beautiful state of Oregon. These 6 beautiful nature destinations make for great Oregon road trips.
One of my favorite things to do on weekends is to explore unique, local stores in Portland. I love to browse through these shops, gather design inspiration, and support local businesses. Many of these stores support other local artisans and makers and focus on sustainable and quality made products. You can be assured that anything you buy from these stores will be unique and one of a kind! If you are visiting Portland soon, this is a great list to refer to for some great shopping spots. A few of these stores even have online shops for those who aren’t near Portland!
