Not only have we been celebrating all of Sage’s first holidays, but Andrew and I have been celebrating all of our first holidays together too, which is really special! I can’t believe that after 4 months of dating, we didn’t have a single photo of just the two of us. It was about time to correct that, so we thought we would get dressed up in honor of our first New Year’s Eve together. It was really fun seeing each other in our fancy party attire, and I think we look pretty snazzy if I do say so myself!

The vintage dress I’m wearing is super special… I borrowed it from my mom, but it was actually my great aunt Francesca’s, on my mom’s side. She was a very beautiful Colombian woman who moved to New York City and married an Italian. She was very stylish and had a collection of beautiful dresses. When she passed away, my mom ended up with a few and I always admired them in her closet when I was growing up. I have worn all of them for shows in the past when I was playing acoustic guitar at coffee shops, wineries, etc. I thought this one was perfect for New Year’s because of the fancy beaded detailing on the shoulders and the silky cape on both sides of the dress. The bead necklace was a gift from my mom from my parent’s recent trip to Colombia, and it was the perfect finishing touch! Andrew looks very handsome in a two piece black suit and white dress shirt he already had.
