Our Family Stay At El Rey Court In Santa Fe, NM

There’s something special about packing up the car on a whim and heading somewhere new, especially as a family. Our spontaneous trip to Santa Fe turned into one of those unexpectedly perfect getaways—equal parts adventure and relaxation. From the moment we arrived at El Rey Court, we felt like we had discovered a place that truly captured the spirit of the Southwest while still being welcoming and comfortable for traveling with a toddler.

One of the things we appreciated most was how easy El Rey Court made everything. Its location gave us quick access to downtown Santa Fe, so we could wander through shops, explore local art, and enjoy some incredible meals without spending too much time in the car. At the same time, it felt tucked away enough to be a peaceful retreat at the end of the day. The property itself is full of personality, with eclectic Southwestern design details that made every corner feel thoughtful and unique. We spent time unwinding at La Reina Bar, which had such a relaxed, inviting atmosphere, and one of our favorite little discoveries was the greenhouse—home to a beautiful collection of cacti from Sabo Santa Fe that added an extra layer of charm to our stay.

By the end of the trip, El Rey Court felt like more than just a place to stay—it became part of the experience itself. It gave us a comfortable home base, space to slow down, and those small, memorable moments that make traveling with family so meaningful. Santa Fe already has a way of drawing you in, but staying here made us want to come back even sooner next time.
XOXO
