One of the things that I love most about Portland are all the coffee shops! I’ve been to a ton of cities in the United States and in my opinion, none of them have as good of a coffee scene as Portland does. I guess we just love coffee over here! Aside from serving amazing coffee, Portland coffee shops put a lot of thought in designing beautiful spaces to enjoy your coffee in. In my opinion, the aesthetic is equally as important as the coffee! In this series, I’m going to be sharing some of my favorite Portland coffee shops with you guys. Today, I am talking about Peaks Coffee on Hawthorne.

Peaks Coffee is a new coffee shop serving Foxy Coffee on Hawthorne, a popular street in Portland for shopping and dining. It’s the perfect spot to pop in for a pick me up! The owner is super friendly and chatted with us about the location and even suggested some coffee shops that we hadn’t heard of to check out. Friendly service and a comforting environment go a long way for me!

My favorite thing about Peaks Coffee would definitely have to be all the plants! There are tons of plants on the front of the coffee shop and several more throughout. They really give off a feeling of calm and earthiness that I really appreciate. I also love the quote featured on one of the main walls: “For coffee and conversation”. It’s definitely Instagram worthy! ;D

The ombre, dip-dyed coffee cups were another unique touch! I love that they had a DIY feel to them. I ordered an iced white chocolate mocha (my favorite). It was super refreshing and delicious! Peaks also offers several signature drinks that I plan on trying the next time I visit.
