I’m finally getting around to sharing the first installment in the Los Angeles travel guides I plan to share from my March trip visiting my sister! We were able to visit several beautiful coffee shops in the city that I thought I would round up for fellow coffee lovers. I love checking out pretty coffee shops during my travel and Los Angeles definitely had a plethora of them. I hope you guys enjoy this post and find it helpful whether you live in LA or plan on visiting.
During my trip to Los Angeles to visit my sister, Rocio and I took a road trip to Ojai and on our way back to LA, we stopped in Malibu for the day to explore! Malibu was absolutely amazing with it’s stunning views and beautiful beaches. I knew it would be the perfect backdrop for some sexy swimsuit photos! My sister took these photos for me on the beach below Point Dume and I love how they turned out.
Mother’s Day is just around the corner and I can’t believe how quickly this year is going by! May is always a busy month with Memorial Day weekend, Mother’s Day and more plus it’s Schyler’s birthday month. I wanted to get this blog post up earlier but I had my nephew Brio’s baptism come up in Salem, OR so I am just now getting around to rounding up my gift ideas today! I wanted to share some chic, neutral, and cozy gift ideas that any mom at any age would love. I’ve included items at all different price points so there is something for everyone!
I’m so excited to finally be sharing this beautiful bridal photo shoot that Schyler and I worked so hard on! This is the exciting photo shoot that I had been hinting at over the past few months on socials and finally got the chance to edit. We were battling with the wind at our photo location the day of the shoot (which kept knocking over our baskets lol) but I am so happy with how these photos turned out. I know that Schyler and I will cherish these photos forever and I love that we will be able to show them to our kids one day with pride!
A few weeks ago, I visited Allure Salon in Kennewick, WA (one of the three cities that makes up the Tri-Cities area where we are from, if you are not familiar) for a much needed hair makeover! It had been about 9 months since my last visit to the hair salon back in Pittsburgh where I had my hair dyed a very dark brown (before that it was dyed black). My natural hair is lighter so the roots were definitely showing through quite a bit and there was a weird purple/red tint to my hair that I didn’t love and wanted to have color corrected.
For those of you that are new here, my fiance and I recently moved back to our hometown of Kennewick, WA after moving around the country for over 7 years! Kennewick is one of the 3 towns that make up the Tri-Cities metro in Eastern Washington. So much has changed while we’ve been gone, in a good way! When we moved, there weren’t a lot of shops are restaurants that had the kind of aesthetic that I love sharing with you guys on here and on my social media channels. But over the past few years so many cute spots have opened up which I was thrilled to discover! I’ve loved getting to know the local shop owners and scouting spots with my fiance Schyler. I wanted to share a fun guide to (historic) downtown Kennewick, WA for those of you that may be moving to the area or maybe those that live in the area and want to check out some cute spots! I’ll be adding to this post as I visit more shops and hopefully sharing guides for other areas in the Tri-Cities soon too so be sure to check back.
While scouting for new local shops in our hometown of Tri-Cities, WA (I can’t believe we’ve been back a month already!) we found this amazing heart mural! It’s located in the alley of the Uptown Mall in Richland, WA where I used to work once upon a time. I knew it would be perfect for a fun Valentine’s themed photo shoot and it certainly was! 😉

I can’t believe Valentine’s day is just around the corner! This year has flown by what with our big move across the country (read more here) but we are finally back in a good work/life routine. I am getting this guide up on February 2nd so I am right on schedule (so proud of myself ;P). I asked my fiance Schyler to shoot a few lingerie photos for me in our Pittsburgh loft apartment just before we moved. I’m turning 30 next year and we plan to start our family very soon which made me realize that I had never captured myself/my body in this way before. I guess I always felt too embarrassed to take “sexy” photos like these, thinking I would look like I was trying to get attention, or maybe it’s the traditional Catholic values I was raised with that made me feel too ashamed to pose for photos like these. But over the years I’ve learned so much and grown a lot and I am very proud of the strong, independent, (yet very sensitive), and yes BEAUTIFUL woman that I am today and that deserves to be celebrated!
