I loved touring this adorable Southwestern city! The adobe houses were so cute, I loved the vibes of the local spots, and the desert scenery was stunning. We also stopped by the Saguaro National Park on our way into Tucson from Phoenix. It’s only a 25 min drive outside the city and a must see! I’ve divided this post into four sections, where to eat, where to shop, things to do, and where to stay! I hope you guys enjoy this post and that it’s helpful for your trip to this charming desert town.
I loved visiting these amazing boutiques during my trip to Tucson! I had a few more on my research list that unfortunately ended up being closed on the days we were visiting but I’m so glad I was able to visit these 3 beautiful and very unique local shops. I love the curated collections, aesthetic interiors, and overall vibes of these boutique shops and I hope you guys do too!
We decided to wake up early 4th of July morning to go on a walk in a nearby Pittsburgh neighborhood before it got to hot! We are spending the rest of the day indoors eating some yummy deserts + snack foods, playing games, listening to records and staying cool. I got a little patriotic and made a 4th of July inspired cake with white frosting and red and blue stars! Also, how cute is Indio’s little denim bow? I love our coordinated red, white and blue looks 😉
We celebrated my 29th birthday this week with a city outing, games, and cake of course! 😉 I can’t believe I’m only one year away from 30, which is both exciting and a little frightening to me at the same time… I’m looking forward to our destination wedding next year (we are shooting for late spring, more on that soon) and hopefully starting our family next year! These discussions have made me reflect on myself and what I want for my life more than ever.
I thought it would be fun to style some classic white, summer pieces in 3 Fourth of July inspired looks! I had a ton of fun styling these looks with thrifted purses and new sustainable pieces from ABLE and Grey State. I popped in some red and blue accents for that patriotic feel and channeled some retro vibes as well. My parents retired in the Phoenix metro several years ago but we hadn’t gotten to explore in the city during any of my visits. During my Phoenix visit, I was able to meet my parent’s horse Maverick! My parents retired in the Phoenix area 3+ years ago now and board a horse nearby. Growing up on a farm in Eastern Washington, my parents had a ton of horses, so I grew up training and riding horses. Since graduating high school, I’ve always lived in a city so I don’t really get the chance to ride horses often. It was so fun getting the chance to ride again after 5+ years!
While visiting my parents who retired in the Phoenix metro area, I was able to visit several coffee shops and cafes! I thought I would share the spots I visited for others who may be planning a trip to Phoenix or even moving there. Trust me, these spots are super fun and have such cute aesthetics! Schyler and I have been trying to catch the cherry blossoms in bloom here in Pittsburgh for weeks now! It seemed like we were waiting forever, we had such a long winter here in Pittsburgh, but we finally got to enjoy them this Easter on the Pittsburgh waterfront. The view of the Pittsburgh cityscape through the blossoms was breathtaking!
