The Best Instagram Spots in Nashville, TN
Schyler and I moved to Nashville, TN about 4 months ago. What we love about Nashville is that there are so many cool things to do, places to shop, and delicious dining! It’s not a huge city so you can get to a lot pretty easily. Nashville is the country music capital of the United States so naturally the city is filled with music history! You can hit Broadway St. any day for live music at the honky tonks. Luckily for me, there are tons of cool murals, old buildings, and neon signs to shoot at (my favorite backdrops). So I thought I would share my top favorite Nashville Instagram spots with you guys! I’ve left tips and addresses too to help you guys out 🙂
Broadway St.
Broadway St. is definitely the most popular spot to hit in Nashville and for good reason! The whole block is lined with honkey tonks with live music, neon signs, and cool shops. This is an awesome spot for photos too! It’s a major tourist destination so it’s usually packed but if you visit early on a weekday you can get lucky.
Tip: Parking in this area is insanely expensive! A lot of people will park far away and walk or take and Uber!
Johnny Cash Museum
The Johnny Cash Museum is another must see tourist attraction in Nashville. I’m a huge Johnny Cash fan so I was really excited to go when we moved here. There is a ton of cool stuff on the street the museum is on so you can definitely get some good shots there. Don’t miss the Johnny Cash impersonator at the cafe next door to the museum!
Tip: The museum is just off of Broadway so you can hit both spots on the same day!
John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge
I’ve always loved city bridges because you can see amazing views of the city from them (and usually take some pretty amazing photos)! The John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge is perfect for some cool city shots.
Tip: It’s about a five minute walk from the Johnny Cash Museum and Broadway so you can hit all three at the same time!
Hillsboro Village
The Hillsboro Village is a cute neighborhood with boutiques, restaurants, and coffee shops. There are a lot of murals in this neighborhood but this dinosaur mural is my favorite! Such fun colors.
Kissy Lips Mural
This fun mural is perfect for photos! It’s located in the Hillsboro Village neighborhood on the side of a building in an alley. The building right across from it is called Fido. Every time we have visited there have been people shooting there so you maybe have to be patient!
Tip: There is a parking lot right behind the building that you can park at for free for up to an hour.
Address: 1812 21st Ave S
I Believe In Nashville Mural
The “I Believe in Nashville Mural” has always been the mental image that popped into my head whenever I thought about Nashville. Probably because everyone takes a picture here when they visit Nashville! It is so iconic though and I love the pictures we got. They are actually kind of perfect for the 4th of July! This mural is located opposite of Draper James, Reese Witherspoon’s 12 South boutique.
Address: 2702 12th Ave S, Nashville, TN, 37204
Nashville Looks Good On You Mural
You can find this mural on the front of a building in the back parking lot of Frothy Monkey in the 12 South Neighborhood! I wanted to take some really edgy photos in my version of Nashville rock ‘n’ roll style. We were working with some difficult lighting settings but I still love the photos we got 😀
Address: 2511 12th Ave S, Nashville, TN, 37204
Flower Mural
This flower mural is absolutely stunning! It reminds me of a Vincent van Gogh painting. This photo concept came to me one night in bed and I love the way the photos turned out. Especially in the first shot where the flowers are coming at you. I look like a magician! ;P
Address: 1113 12th Ave S, Nashville, TN, 37203
Make Music Not War Mural
This mural is actually right next to the Flower Mural above so you can hit both at the same time! They’re kind of in a little alley. It’s a great spot to hit while exploring the 12 South neighborhood!
Address: 1113 12th Ave S, Nashville, TN, 37203
World Peace Mural
This mural is so cute and perfect for hippie + boho vibes! It’s on the side of an old building that looks like it used to be a gas station in East Nashville. We parked in the nearby neighborhood and walked over to the mural to avoid having to pay the meter in the parking lot of the building.
Address: 1200 Porter Rd, Nashville, TN, 37206
Five Points Bears
The Five Points Bears or the “Dancing Bears Mural” is located in the Five Points neighborhood of Nashville. The mural is on the side of the Moab Bike Shop building. I love the colors! It’s super close to Five Points Pizza so you can pop over for a slice of pizza after visiting this spot 😉
Address: 103 S 11th St, Nashville, TN, 37206
Love Y’all Mural
The “Love Y’all” mural is seriously the cutest! It’s on the side of The Loading Dock, an equally as cute cafe.
Address: 2028A Lindell Ave, Nashville, TN 37203
