Schyler, my boyfriend of 7 years, proposed to me on our recent trip to New York City at the beautiful Bethesda Fountain in Central Park! My sister spent Christmas with us in Pittsburgh and came with us on the trip where she was going to be staying to meet her boyfriend and his family in New Jersey. It worked out perfectly because Schyler was able to coordinate with her to capture the moment!

It was a freezing December day in New York City and we were all bundled up to show Schyler the sights! He had been to New York City a few times in his band days to play shows but never got to see any of Manhattan. Rocio and I visited New York City last summer so we knew all the good spots. We stayed at the Garden Suites Hotel which was only a 10 min walk from Central Park! We picked up some coffee and breakfast bagels and ate them while sitting in the park. A perfect New York morning! Afterwards we walked over to the Bethesda Fountain, an area of the park which I had never seen before and Schyler proposed, eek!! It was absolutely beautiful and romantic and everything I could have hoped for.

Afterwards we walked over to the gorgeous Bow Bridge which has a stunning view of the city! It was so beautiful that we decided to re-create the moment and capture some photos there as well. It was definitely a morning that I will never forget!

I can’t believe that after 7 years, I’m FINALLY engaged to my best friend! I can’t imagine my life without Schyler, he is my family, my biggest fan, my support system, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with him. Already dreaming of destination wedding locations for 2022! ;P
