Andrew and I always make an effort to have one date night a week, and a lot of the times when we do, we love trying out new restaurants! Andrew is a chef, and we are both big foodies, but I love finding spots that have beautiful interiors as well. In this blog post, I wanted to share some of my favorite spots we have visited in the past year for those of you who are local to the area or are visiting and want to find spots to check out. There are coffee shops, cafes, and fine dining restaurants located all over the Phoenix metro area.

Prep & Pastry

I have had brunch at this restaurant, Prep & Pastry, several times and love it! They have locations in Scottsdale, Tucson, and Gilbert, which is the one I am featuring in this blog post. Andrew and I had a lovely brunch date here. My favorites are their smoked salmon Benedict and the french toast. Their cocktails and lattes are great as well!

Francine

Andrew and I had a fabulous date night at this gorgeous restaurant in Scottsdale, Francine. It’s a French-Mediterranean inspired menu, and the ambience is perfect. The dining is more upscale, which Andrew really appreciated as a chef. He absolutely loved it! It’s a lovely spot for a date night, weekend brunch, etc.

Window Coffee Bar

A few months ago, while visiting downtown Phoenix, we stopped by Window Coffee Bar for pastries and coffee. We love doing little outings like this as a family. The interiors of this coffee shop are very funky and modern. It definitely has a cool vibe! The pastries were delicious and my latte was perfection.

Pizzeria Virtu

This Italian spot near Old Town Scottsdale, Pizzeria Virtu, makes incredible pizza, pastas, salads, and more. Andrew and I came here for a date night and we loved the ambience. It was raining that day, otherwise they would have had the patio open and the fireplace going which would have been amazing. We will definitely have to go back!

Tia Carmen

We visited this gorgeous southwest style restaurant, Tia Carmen, during a “staycation” at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge in Scottsdale. The interiors are absolutely to die for, and the food in their mercado style breakfast, which was like a breakfast buffet, was amazing.

Lovesong Coffee

I love discovering craft coffee shops like this one in Scottsdale, Lovesong Coffee! We stopped by to try their lattes on our way to pick something up for our wedding. The chic, modern vibe is super cute and their coffee was amazing. I was surprised to see how many people were there getting work done remotely!

Liberty Market

For our Valentine’s day date, Andrew and I had dinner at this cute restaurant in downtown Gilbert, Liberty Market. It has a really chic, European ambience to the interiors, and I was especially obsessed with the the gorgeous tile floors. This would be the perfect weekend brunch before walking down the block to the Gilbert Farmers Market! The food was great too.
