The holidays have been a little hard for me this year needless to say, after having spent them with a partner for the past 10 years and now spending them very pregnant and single. As hard as they have been this year, I know the holidays will be very joyful when I get to spend them with my baby boy in the years to come. I have been so exhausted lately but I still trekked out to a local nursery here in the Phoenix area to shoot some pictures on my tripod to remember the Christmas I was 8 months pregnant with him and I’m so glad I did! Even though my camera charger blew out when I plugged it in to try to sneak in a few more photos. Tis the season lol.

I didn’t know what I was going to wear until this Sezane outfit popped in to my head when I was trying to fall asleep a few nights before. I pulled a few other outfits from my closet the night before just in case, but the morning of the photo shoot I just did not have the energy to try on any other looks. I went with this outfit even though this tapestry style dress barely stretched over my 8 month belly, squashed my chest, and rumpled at the bottom. It is what it is at this point in the third trimester lol! But I love the retro vibes of this look and I feel like the floral print and colors had a “Christmas” feel to them.

I shot these photos at the Christmas tree lot at Moon Nursery in Chandler. The guys there were so nice and very kindly stayed out of my way to let me get my shots. I lucked out and had the whole lot to myself which was a relief since I was shooting with self timer/tripod. The trees were beautiful and I definitely would have wanted one but my parents have been using an artificial tree for years. My sister will be coming down from Los Angeles for Christmas and I’m excited to do some Christmas things with her. My mom and I already stocked up on Christmas treats from Trader Joe’s and I am ready to get into the Christmas spirit! I hope you all have a wonderful holiday with your families <3
