A Local’s Guide To Tri-Cities, WA
I decided to pull together a little guide to my hometown of Tri-Cities, WA! The area has grown so much since we moved back and there are some really cool spots that have more of a bigger city feel like Portland or Seattle which I was thrilled to discover. I’ve included some of my favorite boutiques, restaurants, and coffee shops although there are many that didn’t make it into my guide. I’ve also mentioned a few things to do in the area! I hope this guide is helpful for anyone moving to this quickly growing city or even a local who wants to discover some new spots.
Where To Eat
Moniker Bar
I love the mid century vibes of this cocktail bar in the Richland Parkway! We decided to finally try out Moniker Bar for my birthday and I’m so glad we did. The interiors were just beautiful which as you guys probably already know, the former interior designer in me is obsessed with! The food was delicious too, we tried one of their specialty burgers and chips & salsa made with avocado and mango I believe. It’s a great spot for a date night or even a girls night!

Dovetail
This new spot, Dovetail, had opened up in the Uptown Mall in Richland a few months before we finally popped in for lunch. I was hoping for wood fired pizza because I noticed their oven when we first walked by the restaurant on an antique shopping trip. But I guess they only fire it up in the evenings, so instead we had their fried chicken burger which was so good! The interiors were very unique too and I really loved the design of their bar area.

What To Do
Badger Mountain
If you are looking for a great hike or nature walk, Badger Mountain is the best spot for it in the Tri-Cities! There are numerous trails all of which have amazing views of the city. Some of the trails at the bottom of the mountain are very easy while the hike to the top is always a challenge. It’s also a great spot for photos! We shot some campaign photos here (photographed above) because of said views. We also shot our gender reveal here with the beautiful desert landscape and mountain background!

The Parkway
The Richland Parkway is a great spot for shopping and dining in the Tri-Cities. It’s a cute little street filled with new boutiques, restaurants, coffee shops, and more. Moniker Bar is located in the Parkway as well as another great spot I loved, Roma House. They hold the Richland Farmers Market here on Friday and you can also catch a show at the Richland Players theatre at the end of the strip!

Downtown Kennewick
Another great spot for shopping and dining! Historic downtown Kennewick is filled with cute boutiques, restaurants, tattoo shops, and beauty parlors. Several of the boutiques are listed down below in the “Where To Shop” section. There is a great bakery on the street, Layered Cake. My favorite coffee in the Tri-Cities is also located here, Rockabilly Roasting Co!

Public Market
The Kennewick Public Market is open Friday-Sunday and on Thursday for the Kennewick Farmers Market. This is a great spot to head to on weekends for a fun family outing or a weekend date! There are a lot of fun vendors to check out selling food, home goods, vintage, handmade items and more. A few of the vendors are photographer above, My Garden Over Floweth and Yet Lovely (who is located in a brick and mortar now).

Where To Shop
Urban Grounds
This is the perfect spot to start your tour of downtown Kennewick with! Urban Grounds is the cutest boutique where you can shop clothing for the whole family, accessories, home decor, plants, gifts, and more. The clothing selection is super cute with a mix of casual, modern, chic, and bohemian styles! They also have a beautiful coffee bar (obsessed!) so you can sip your latte while you shop or sit down and enjoy it with a friend post shopping in their lounge area. I love the plant shelf in the front (it’s the design details for me ;P).
Address: 217 W Kennewick Ave, Kennewick, WA 99336
Yet Lovely
Yet Lovely used to be located in the Public Market, but recently moved in to their own location in Richland. The owner, Audra, has an amazing eye for mixing new and vintage home decor items together. I picked out so many cute vintage pieces with a boho feel for our bedroom from this boutique. You are bound to find something amazing here for your home or a thoughtful gift for a loved one. She also offers interior design services!
*I’ve updated this, as Yet Lovely has moved from the Public Market to their own location!

Earth Spirit
Another cute local shop in Downtown Kennewick, Earth Spirit with handcrafted jewelry, earrings, and natural apothecary items. The owner, Erin, hand makes her jewelry with semiprecious stones and crystals as well as candles and skincare products that you can also shop online! She also carries handmade products like home decor, ceramics and more from other local businesses in store. Her candles smell absolutely amazing and I love the themes for the lines. My favorites were in her music themed line! I would definitely stop by this boutique to shop gifts for yourself or friends and family!

Slate & Aloe
If you love plants as much as I do, then you have to check out Slate & Aloe in downtown Kennewick. They have such an amazing range of plant varieties, some I’ve never even seen before! They also offer a great selection of books for young adults, adults, and a kid’s section as well. If you are a fan of tea, you can grab a cup while browsing their plants or cozying up with a book on one of their armchairs. The owner is super sweet, very plant savvy, and I was thrilled when she offered to pot the plant babies I picked out to take home with me!
