A Mini Travel Guide To Breckenridge, Colorado
I’m finally getting around to sharing my last mini travel guide from the Colorado trip that Sage and I took with my parents back in May! As a single mom, I’m finding that it takes me much longer to get things done and that’s ok. Since then we have also taken a trip to Oregon that I can’t wait to share with you guys soon! In this blog post, I’m sharing some of the spots that we checked out during our time in Breckenridge, Colorado. Breckenridge is a very popular, family friendly ski town in Colorado that is fairly small and easy to get around. Plus, the Rocky Mountain setting is gorgeous! We visited in the Spring so of course there wasn’t any skiing going on, we were mainly visiting for the setting. I discovered some very cute boutiques which you guys already know I love, and we popped into the this adorable bakery that had the most delicious pastries. I’ll be featuring these spots below!
Where To Shop
DonLo Mercantile
DonLo Mercantile is the perfect shop for you if you love bespoke & ethically made fine jewelry! The owner is goldsmith who hand makes the stunning collection. What drew my eye to this shop were the gorgeous home decor pieces displayed in the windows. The pieces are made by unique artisans like Virginia Sin (SIN home goods) a Brooklyn based, hand made ceramics and home goods brand. I am obsessed with the wood & horse hair wall art pieces made by Blade & Knoll! DonLo offers so much more like blankets, leather bags, clean beauty, and more. This is such a cool shop you have to check out if you can!

Midsommar Hat Co.
The owner of DonLo Mercantile also own this custom hat shop, Midsommar Hat Co. Midsommar specializes in designing sustainably sourced, handcrafted custom hats for men and women with so many fun accessories to spruce up your hat from ribbons to feathers and more! I love the western chic vibes in the shop and the beautiful art that is displayed in the shop is made by a local artist. This is the perfect shop to head to if you want something custom made for you to remember your trip to Breckenridge!

Folcland
Folcland is a chic boutique in Main Street Station that offers a curated selection of sustainable + ethically made clothing. Their elevated selection is eco-conscious with ethically made women’s apparel, jewelry, accessories, & more. Folcland focuses on contemporary slow(er) fashion from independent, ethical, and eco-conscious designers which I love! It’s the perfect spot to shop for something for your wardrobe or a loved one’s.

Main Street Station
The lake view from Main Street Station where Folcland and many other boutiques are located around a town square! It’s a great place to stop and enjoy a bite or a coffee as well.
Where To Eat
Mom’s Baking Company
We popped into this bakery one morning to enjoy some pastries and coffee and I’m so glad we did. Let me tell you, the pastries at Mom’s Baking Company were out of this world! Pastries and coffee are like my favorite thing lol so I really enjoyed this spot. I went back another morning for a latte on our way to the airport. I would highly recommend this spot for coffee, pastries, and sandwiches!

What To Do
Downtown Breckenridge
Main Street in downtown Breckenridge is where all of the main shopping is out with several malls like Town Square Mall where Mom’s Baking Company is located and Main Street Station at the end of the street where Folcland is at. This is the main area where tourists visit because it’s very walkable with boutiques, coffee shops, restaurants, museums and more! Breckenridge was an old mining town established in the 1880’s during the Victorian area. The colorful Victorian buildings were preserved as the Breckenridge historic district (downtown Breckenridge) and are now home to the businesses that make up the town. My parents and I loved the beautiful old buildings!
Riverwalk Center Breckenridge
There are several places where you can access the Riverwalk Center from Main Street in downtown Breckenridge. It’s a very peaceful and easy walk with views of historic downtown Breckenridge, the Rocky Mountains, and the river. There are benches and picnic tables where you can stop to rest which we did in between browsing the shops on Main Street which was lovely!
Silverthorne
I wanted to include Silverthorned in this mini travel guide because it is a very easy drive from Breckenridge (under 30 min) but so worth it for the beautiful scenery! We kept past the town and saw such pretty views and properties. The town itself is much newer than Breckenridge and they had some cool restaurants and shops to check out as well. I found Bluebird market below when we were looking for a lunch spot in Silverthorne.
Bluebird Market
As I mentioned above, I found Bluebird Market while doing a quick search for somewhere to eat lunch and grab coffee. It’s a food hall with several restaurant vendors, a coffee shop, and a bakery. I love spots like these because everyone can go get whatever they want so no one has to decide on one place and they just offer a fun atmosphere! I loved the open architecture as well. I grabbed a latte and a breakfast burrito and my parents had crepes from one of the vendors.
