Valentine’s Day has taken on a sweeter meaning over the years, especially now that we get to celebrate it as a family of three. This is my second Valentine’s Day celebrating with my now-husband (we’ll be married six months in March). I couldn’t resist capturing a few simple moments with Andrew and our toddler this year—nothing fancy, just us at home in white tees and denim, with a handmade paper heart garland.

I kept everything intentionally minimal, using the same paper heart garland I made for past photo shoots and letting that be the only pop of Valentine’s Day decor. There’s something I love about creating a festive feel with such simple, handmade details. It felt cozy and nostalgic, and perfectly fit the slow, at-home kind of day we were having—full of snuggles, giggles, and little in-between moments I never want to forget.

These photos may be simple, but they hold so much meaning for me. Documenting our family in every season is something I’ll always treasure, and I’m so grateful for another Valentine’s Day filled with love, laughter, and the sweetest company.
