Ambassador Hotel Chicago Review
Disclosure: I partnered with the Ambassador Hotel however all opinions are completely my own.
Hey guys! I’m so excited to be sharing my travels with you this year. So far I’ve been on two trips this March and I have two more exciting trips coming up in April. I love traveling! It’s a huge passion of mine and I’m so glad I’ve been able to turn it into part of my job. I’m hoping I can give you a sense of wanderlust and share some cool cities, hotels, and restaurants, etc. with you.
On my recent trip to Chicago, I was able to work with the Ambassador Hotel Chicago. Rocio and I had the most amazing stay at the hotel! The interiors were beautiful, the view from our room was amazing, and the food and drinks were on point.
I was immediately drawn to the aesthetic of the hotel. I studied and practiced Interior Design for several years so I am a sucker for great interiors! I loved the smoky glass mirrors and white furniture in the lobby. The look is so classic and glamorous. They had another gorgeous room near the lobby called The Library which is a perfect spot to sit and chat with friends. It even has a bar!
The Location
The Ambassador Chicago is in the Gold Coast area of downtown Chicago and very close to Lake Michigan. Gold Coast is mostly a residential neighborhood which we loved because it was a little bit more quiet and the homes in this area are absolutely beautiful. We had fun walking around and exploring the neighborhood. The hotel is in walking distance of main attractions in downtown and beautiful Lincoln Park, which makes it an ideal location. When I travel, I like to be really close to main attractions but I don’t like to stay in really loud areas so the Ambassador was perfect.

What To Do
The hotel is about a ten minute walk from North Avenue Beach, the Lincoln Park Zoo, and the Lincoln Park Conservatory. North Avenue Beach has an amazing waterfront view of the city which I definitely reccomend seeing. We also loved exploring the beautiful Lincoln Park Conservatory and Zoo. Rocio and I are both suckers for beautiful plants and cute animals so we spent hours here!
In the opposite direction towards downtown, the Magnificent Mile and other main attractions like the Chicago Theatre and the Chicago River are about a ten to fifteen minute walk from the hotel so there is plenty of great shopping and dining within walking distance.
What I Loved
We had the pleasure of dining at Booth One on the main floor of the Ambassador Hotel. This restaurant was formally known as The Pump Room, a popular spot frequented by numerous celebrities throughout the years. What I thought was super cool about the decor were the black and white photos of famous guests. They just looked so classic! We had the most amazing dining experience at the restaurant. Our server was very friendly and attentive and the food was amazing!
Our suite was very spacious with an amazing view of the city!
We woke up early one of the mornings during our stay to avoid the crowds at the Skydeck Conservatory. I ordered a room service breakfast the night before to arrive at 7:30 and it was exactly on time and so delicious! It was the perfect start to our morning.
To wrap it up, we had the most amazing stay at the hotel from the great food, to the beautiful room, and awesome hospitality! If you are planning a trip to Chicago, check out the Ambassador Hotel here and book your stay!
