Blogger Brunch at Tusk In Portland
This past weekend I met up with a few local bloggers for brunch at Tusk, a beautiful restaurant in Portland, Oregon. It was so fun to meet other bloggers and make connections. I loved learning about their backgrounds, passions, and goals. I love being able to connect with like minded boss babes like these gals. Thank you to Jacqueline from Brunchinista for organizing the event! I can’t wait for more brunches in the future.
Tusk is sophisticated and modern with pops of color, tons of natural lighting, and beautiful interiors. I am a sucker for a restaurant with a beautiful interior! I also loved everything about their branding from their bright and fun menu to their flawless website.
Tusk serves middle eastern inspired dishes with a twist. We ordered a hummus appetizer to share while we waited for our main dish. I can safely say it was the best hummus I have ever tasted! It was topped with cilantro and a hard boiled egg; both were a great touch! The pita bread that was served with it was fluffy and delicious.
For my main dish I ordered the The Young Turk; a pita sandwich with hummus, pickled onions, cucumber, and radishes. I ordered mine with chicken. It reminded me of the amazing gyros I had in Greece. My favorite part of the dish were the perfectly seasoned herb seasoned fries. My mouth is watering just thinking about them!
For dessert, Hilary of Crumb Kisses ordered us the Pistachio Gooey Butter Cake to share. She had been to Tusk before and raved about this dish. It did not disappoint! In fact, that cake is the stuff of dreams. It was sweet, moist, and melted in your mouth. I wish I had ordered a piece to take home!
I absolutely loved this restaurant and I would love to go back again with friends! Tusk is now on my list of restaurant recommendations for Portland.
I hope you darlings enjoyed this post! I will be featuring more yummy Portland restaurants in the future.
XOXO

That hummus looks addictive!! I may just go dig some out of the fridge right now. 🙂
How did you get hooked up with your blogger community? I live in a super rural area, so I’ve been having trouble finding geographically close blogger friends.
It was so yummy! I met these bloggers through Instagram actually. We are all Portland based 🙂

OMG, it looks beautiful and so yummy! I never attended a blogger meeting but would love to. Maybe I just organize myself one. Why not? The restaurant choice is pretty important – I think so too. Everybody should feel like home, right? Happy that you had such a fun meeting. Cheers!
