Over the Thanksgiving holiday I flew to Arizona to be with my family. My parents retired in Arizona a few years ago which I am very happy about because I LOVE the desert! I can’t get enough of the beautiful saguaros. Schyler would not be down with moving there because of the heat but it’s nice having a home base there that I can visit! During my time there, I really wanted to do a bohemian desert sunset photo shoot and I love how the photos turned out.
On my recent trip to Philadelphia, I wanted to pull out all of my best fashion pieces! I thrifted so many great Fall staples from Thriftique, a local non-profit thrift store here in Pittsburgh. Fall is one of my favorite seasons to dress for because of all the layers. When I stopped by Thriftique, I had a list of things I was looking for and I found every single one! A great trench coat, leather pants, turtlenecks and more. I thought I would share my outfits and the amazing pieces I found in this blog post.
A little while before Schyler and I moved to Nashville, my sister and I shot these retro photos! I had spotted these locations while driving around Portland and had them written down on my phone for future shoot locations. All of the photo locations were very retro and funny enough they were all car businesses! If you guy’s are new here, you should know, I love anything retro! On one of the days my sister had off from work we finally went and shot these photos! I love how they turned out so I had to share them with you guys.
I can’t be-LEAF it’s Fall again! I love a good pun, I can’t help it ;P Fall is definitely my favorite season for fashion, activities, and weather. There are so many fun activities to do in the Fall and the crisp, cool weather is perfect for sweaters and layering. I’m ready for it with these Fall closet staples!
My blogger friend, Tonya (themoptop.com), and I decided to take a road trip to San Francisco recently! We both love the pastel buildings, architecture, and unique character of the city and had been dreaming of capturing some cool shots there. I wanted to share all of the outfits I wore during my trip because I thought they were super cute ;P! All of the clothing pieces are from a shop that just opened a Portland location recently called Wild Cactus Boutique. They are based out of Cleveland, OH and are online as well in case you guys want to check out their shop!
The western trend has been becoming increasingly popular these past couple of years, particularly during festival season! I had been wanting to do a western inspired photo shoot for awhile, so I I thought it would be fun to take a girls trip to central Oregon with my sister and blogger friend Tonya of themoptop.com, for the perfect photo backgrounds! Central Oregon is absolutely stunning. We stopped by Smith Rock and the Painted Hills for these photos.
Bring on summer weather and summer fashion- I am ready for it, especially now that I have found the perfect summer sandals from Dansko! I wore the Susie sandals while I was running around downtown the other day and they were so insanely comfortable. I am definitely taking these with me on all of my travels this summer!
There is nothing dreamier than a field full of flowers! I’m lucky enough to live close to a lot of flower fields. My favorite one during Spring is the Woodburn Tulip Farm. I’ve visited the Woodburn Tulip Farm every year for the past three years that I have lived in Portland. Every year is different because they have several different patches that they alternate planting in. This year the tulip patches were especially beautiful! The tulips made a beautiful rainbow of colors.
I have been loving trouser pants lately, especially plaid ones! I love that you can dress them up for a put together look or down for more of a rocker vibe. There is something about plaid that instantly makes me think of like Europe or the East Coast which is totally a good thing. They just make a cool statement! I felt like an edgy Jess from New Girl in this outfit (it’s the glasses ;D)!
It’s that time of year again! Crunchy leaves, crisp mornings, and cool winds. In Portland, this time of year also means lots of rain! That’s why I decided to round up my favorite boots for the fall AND winter season. After living in Portland for 4 years, I’ve collected a number of boots that are my go-to’s during the rainy season. All of these boots are waterproof, a must for rain and snow!
