We celebrated my 29th birthday this week with a city outing, games, and cake of course! 😉 I can’t believe I’m only one year away from 30, which is both exciting and a little frightening to me at the same time… I’m looking forward to our destination wedding next year (we are shooting for late spring, more on that soon) and hopefully starting our family next year! These discussions have made me reflect on myself and what I want for my life more than ever.
Category: My Life
We just celebrated Indio’s 3rd birthday a few days ago! It’s always a busy time because a few days after Indio’s birthday is our anniversary. We laughed and cried while looking at Indio’s birthday photos over the years and old photos of him when he was a puppy. I can’t believe how fast the time has flown, it’s so crazy! Being his dog mommy has definitely been challenging at times, but very rewarding.
It’s been awhile since I’ve shared a post about life, goals, or my personal thoughts so I thought it was about time to do an update! The past several years have been such a whirlwind for us! We moved to Nashville from Portland, OR, then moved to Pittsburgh, got engaged, and continued to grow our business all while living through this crazy pandemic. We moved to both locations hoping to be able to travel more easily and to find cheaper rent/houses than in the PNW, but both moves were expensive of course. For those of you that are new here or maybe missed it, we tried to buy a home when we first moved to Pittsburgh almost a year and a half ago now (watch this video here for the story) but we had to back out at the last minute unfortunately, which was super hard for me especially and it was definitely another financial set back.
Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month + My Colombian Roots
By Esperanza on October 16, 2021I’m a few days late but I wanted to share something for #nationalhispanicheritagemonth! My mom and her family are from Colombia, a beautiful country in South America that I have been fortunate enough to visit a handful of times. The beautiful necklace I’m wearing in this photo was my abuelita’s, one of the few pieces of her’s my mom gave me. My parents have also given me cowhide rugs, throw blankets, rugs, + other decorative pieces like this wind-chime that I love the style of! I’ve kept these pieces with me through all the moves over the years and they were a huge influence when I was decorating the space. They make me feel more connected to my Hispanic heritage! There are many beautiful areas of Colombia that I would love to explore and I definitely plan to travel there in the few years.
I love sharing photos of my adorable labradoodle Indio, especially during the holiday seasons! It’s so important to me to document memories like this that we can look back on forever. Today’s post is in celebration of Indio’s 3rd fall season! He’s actually spent each fall in a different city, Portland, Nashville, and now Pittsburgh! I love the photos that Schyler captured of us.
It’s been awhile since I shared photos or an update on my beloved labradoodle Indio. Indio turned 1 earlier this year in March and we are quickly making our to the big 2, I can’t believe it! He, along with mom and dad, has been struggle-inggg this summer with the humidity hear in Pittsburgh so he has preferred his curls kept short 😉 He has been going through a couple of health struggles that mom has been researching and trying to figure out how to address for months!
At the end of June, we celebrated my 28th birthday. For some reason this birthday has made me reflect a lot on where I’m at in life. Probably because it’s a little to close for comfort to 30! I’m not scared of getting older or anything like that, but I can’t help feeling like I haven’t accomplished as much as I wanted to by this age. I’m very driven and goal oriented so when I don’t feel like I’m achieving enough I start to get down on myself. A couple of the big goals I was hoping to have by now were getting married, buying a house, starting a family…
My standard labradoodle Indio is two years old this month! I can’t believe how fast time has flown by. We gave him a birthday “cake” last year and he loved it so much so we got him another one this year to celebrate. He is such a funny guy… a little naughty at times, but he always makes us laugh and is a huge part of our little family now!
My New York City Engagement in Central Park
By Esperanza on January 2, 2021Schyler, my boyfriend of 7 years, proposed to me on our recent trip to New York City at the beautiful Bethesda Fountain in Central Park! My sister spent Christmas with us in Pittsburgh and came with us on the trip where she was going to be staying to meet her boyfriend and his family in New Jersey. It worked out perfectly because Schyler was able to coordinate with her to capture the moment!
Celebrating My Puppy Labradoodle Indio’s 1st Birthday!
By Esperanza on March 16, 2020I can’t believe it’s been almost a year that Indio has been in our lives! We adopted Indio from Forevergreen Farm Labradoodles when he was 2 months old. He was my dream puppy and has made me the happiest dog mom (besides a little naughtiness ;P). I wanted to celebrate his first birthday by sharing some photos of him throughout the year. It’s crazy to see how much hew grew every month!
