Recently I got the chance to visit the Centrl Eastside office in downtown Portland. Centrl is a co-working shared office and work space. The offices are located on the first three floors of Slate, a housing and workplace collaboration. I’ve always loved the idea of a shared office space. It’s something I’ve been thinking about for The Urban Darling as my business grows. I love being able to work from home but sometimes it would be nice to have an office to go to everyday to separate work from my personal life.

Living Sustainably: Project Re-Made with thredUP
By Esperanza on April 19, 2018Who doesn’t love a good thrifted outfit? Thrifting has become so popular today for good reason. A thrifted outfit is trendy, saves you money, and it’s sustainable! Today I’m sharing an outfit I put together with some of my favorite thrifted pieces to kick off Project Re:Made with thredUP.
Rocio and I got the chance to go glamping at The Vintages in Dayton, OR. You guys, this vintage trailer resort is the CUTEST glamping spot. We had so much fun getting dressed up in vintage inspired outfits (of course), hanging out in our trailer, and riding cruiser bikes. The Vintages are about an hour from our home in Portland so it was the perfect weekend getaway! Rocio and I both love photography and videography so we took advantage of the cute surroundings. I’m so excited to share these photos with you!
March is Portland Dining Month and we kicked it off with a bang at St. Jack! The french cafe St. Jack opened on NW 23rd ten years ago. Ben Morris, the talented Chef de Cuisine at St. Jack, has been with the team since November of 2017. Not only is he gifted when it comes to creating food, he’s also excellent at executing his responsibilities at the cafe. St. Jack has had the same team for a long time so naturally the camaraderie at St. Jack is great, which is key for a successful restaurant!
Rooftop Photo Shoot with Corrie Mahr Photography
By Esperanza on November 6, 2017I got to do a really fun photo shoot with Corrie Mahr Photography this past summer. I am just now getting around to posting the photos but better late than never right?! Corrie and I went to college together and I’ve always admired her work so it was really exciting to be behind her lens. We met for coffee to brain storm shoot locations and ideas. We both thought a rooftop photo shoot would be really cool and I knew the perfect location! The top of the Pioneer Courthouse Square Smart Park in downtown Portland.
This past weekend I met up with a few local bloggers for brunch at Tusk, a beautiful restaurant in Portland, Oregon. It was so fun to meet other bloggers and make connections. I loved learning about their backgrounds, passions, and goals. I love being able to connect with like minded boss babes like these gals. Thank you to Jacqueline from Brunchinista for organizing the event! I can’t wait for more brunches in the future.
There have been a ton of new coffee shops popping up around Portland and I couldn’t be more thrilled! Sipping coffee at cute, local coffee shops is one of my favorite past-times. In this installment of “Portland’s Best Coffee Shops”, I’ll be chatting about some of my favorite coffee spots; Guilder, Figlia Americana, Barista, and Prince Coffee. Grab a cup of coffee, sit back, and enjoy!
One of my favorite things to do on weekends is to explore unique, local stores in Portland. I love to browse through these shops, gather design inspiration, and support local businesses. Many of these stores support other local artisans and makers and focus on sustainable and quality made products. You can be assured that anything you buy from these stores will be unique and one of a kind! If you are visiting Portland soon, this is a great list to refer to for some great shopping spots. A few of these stores even have online shops for those who aren’t near Portland!

By Esperanza on June 20, 2017Portland is the hipster land of bridges, bikes, and the best desserts! If you are planning a trip to Portland then I have the perfect list of ice cream, donut, and cupcake shops to add to your itinerary. If you are a sweet lover, like me, than you are going to love these spots! You can’t go wrong with any of these delicious treats.
Located in the lobby of the Society Hotel, this coffee spot is a total gem! The Society Cafe is also a lounge and bar that serves coffee, fresh pastries, beer from local breweries, and some of the best wine in the Chehalem Valley. I really love their chai latte; it’s not too spicy and not too sweet. It’s just perfect! The lounge is very roomy with sofas and window seating. I love the blue/grey cabinetry, marble counters and tables, and the wooden accents.
