Decorating Our New Home & Brands We Love
We have been living in our rental home for a few months now, and it has been so fun decorating our place together! Andrew moved down here from Portland, OR, with only what he could fit in his car, and I had previously been living with my parents for a year, so I didn’t have a ton of furniture either. We both love decorating, so we were super excited to make this house feel like home. I would describe the style of our home as modern Bohemian with natural decor pieces, Spanish-style elements, and unique vintage finds. The setting is mostly neutral with hints of bold colors like terracotta and green (our favorite colors!). I finally feel like our place is really starting to come together, and I wanted to share some of the brands that we love, and pieces we have incorporated into our home in this post!
Bloomscape
Andrew and I both love plants and want to add as many to our home as possible, but we had to start our plant collection from scratch as well. We picked out three large plants from Bloomscape which are absolutely beautiful. I love how they are delivered straight to your door, and the fact that they have large plants like these at such an amazing price! The second we brought them into our home, the atmosphere instantly changed. They are such amazing focal points as well! I would definitely check Bloomscape out if you are wanting to add more plants to your home. I also love that they come in these nice plastic pots that look like ceramic!
Caraway
I have had my eye on this Caraway cookware set for so long now, and I was thrilled to finally get my hands on it for home! I love that their cookware is non stick, and non toxic which just gives me a lot of piece of mind. Andrew is a chef, so he does all the cooking in our home, and he absolutely loves this set. It comes with a magnetic organizer for your cabinet and a canvas pot holder. The cream color we picked out looks so pretty in our modern kitchen! The Citizenry
Moving into a new house was the perfect time to switch up the bedding for our room! Andrew and I both love the forest green color of our new bedspread from The Citizenry. I played with a mix of colors for the sheets and pillowcases which is a look I love. The color combination of earth tones and neutrals is my favorite. I also picked out a beautiful cream blanket for the end of the bed, and a cream lumbar pillow. They add so much texture to our bedroom!
Minna
If you are looking for unique, ethical pieces for your home, then you need to check out Minna! They collaborate with artisans in Latin America on their beautiful range of home decor. I have always wanted this gorgeous hanging wall basket that they carry in their shop. I love the natural texture and beauty it adds to our space, but it’s super practical as well! We are using it in our entryway to hang hats, beanies, leashes, etc. I love this beautiful kitchen towel as well and the Spanish-style it adds. Noon & Moon
I love beautiful ceramics & dinnerware, and I knew Andrew and I wanted to be able to host people at our home as well, so I was excited to stock our cupboard with two beautiful plate styles and gold silverware sets from Noon & Moon. We picked out earth-toned colors for the plates and I love the antiqued look of the silverware. We have already used them when we hosted a dinner for my parents and a game night with new friends! They have an amazing selection of handmade glass and tableware that are super unique on their website, so check them out.
Plant Addicts
Several of the smaller plants in our home are from Plant Addicts, an online plant shop that delivers straight to your door. I couldn’t believe how many different plant varieties they carry, so if you are looking for a wide selection, I would definitely recommend heading to their website. They have a lot of really rare plants, one of which we put in our master bathroom!
