I wanted to show Andrew this beautiful spot that my family and I have visited several times since moving to the Phoenix area. Superstition Mountain is located in Apache Junction and has been the backdrop for many photoshoots, like my full-term maternity photos and some family photos with my mom and sister after Sage was born. I thought it would be the perfect spot for capturing some holiday photos of Andrew, Sage, and I as well! I love that I have captured so many life milestones in this gorgeous desert setting.

I wanted these photos to have a holiday feel to them, so Andrew and I wore pops of red while Sage wore this adorable jumpsuit from Pehr. These outfits also have a western vibe with our boots, Andrew’s leather jacket, and my skirt gives western chic as well. The sweater is an old one from Lulu’s, but the red color is perfect for Christmas! Andrew’s shirt and jacket were recent thrift finds. We live in Arizona, so of course, so we don’t have classic Christmas tree farms, but we do have lot’s of green cacti in the desert. That’s as close as we are going to get! ;P

Sage was definitely not in the mood for photos, if you can’t tell, plus he had a blowout in the outfit he was wearing on our way there before I changed him into this one, but I’m glad we were able to capture at least a few photos to look back on! Hopefully, next year he will enjoy it more lol.
