A few weeks ago, I visited Allure Salon in Kennewick, WA (one of the three cities that makes up the Tri-Cities area where we are from, if you are not familiar) for a much needed hair makeover! It had been about 9 months since my last visit to the hair salon back in Pittsburgh where I had my hair dyed a very dark brown (before that it was dyed black). My natural hair is lighter so the roots were definitely showing through quite a bit and there was a weird purple/red tint to my hair that I didn’t love and wanted to have color corrected.

I found Allure Salon while Schyler and I were driving around our hometown running errands and after visiting with the owner to discuss what I wanted to do with my hair, I decided to go ahead and book an appointment with them! It’s a beautiful, modern salon with tons of natural light and beautiful plants that make it feel very inviting. Randi, one of the fabulous hair stylists at the salon, did such an amazing job and she was super friendly and knowledgeable!

We decided to start off my stripping my hair of all the years of dye, hard water, and chemicals so that we would have a clean base to start off with. I’m SO glad we did that because we were able to discover that my hair actually does have a natural red tint to it which I didn’t know before hand. Side note; it also helped my poor dry scalp which would always have dandruff because I have not had any dandruff or dry scalp skin since. Randi was then able to dye my hair a rich medium to dark brown that was much closer to my natural hair color so that when it grows out it will just blend right in which is what I really wanted! She also shaped up the curtain bangs and layers from my previous haircut which we still liked because it gave my hair so much more body and volume than years prior when I didn’t have layers.

I am so thrilled with the way my hair turned out! Since my visit, my hair has been the shiniest, healthiest, and softest it’s ever been. I’m a very low maintenance kind of gal so the fact that this new color is so much closer to my natural hair color is amazing because I won’t have to worry about tons of visits to the salon to touch it up. Randi even gave me some tips on how to cut my curtain bangs right so that I will be able to keep those looking great too! She really was the sweetest and I cannot recommend her enough for those of you that are looking for a hair stylist in the Tri-Cities area.

Allure Salon is not only a hair salon, they also have suites in their space with makeup artists, estheticians, and more so I definitely recommend checking out their website if you are looking for other beauty services too!
