Over the past several months, I’ve been visiting OVME in Nashville, TN to touch up my botox, lip fillers, and under eye fillers! It had been a little over a year since my last touch up and my lips had really started to deflate + they had never looked exactly how I wanted in the first place so I was really looking for my OVME esthetician, Kristin, to help me get them right. From the beginning, she was super knowledgeable and informative so I immediately trusted her with my face lol!

During my first visit we talked about my goals and how to achieve them. I have a very expressive forehead and I like it look “frozen” so that was pretty straight forward. I also get a little botox around my crow’s feet and above my eyebrows. What’s a little trickier is my lips + under eye area.

I naturally have very thin lips that want to tuck under on their sides. In the before and after above, you can see how much the fillers really enhanced my lips! I was happy with the size of my bottom lip already so we added just a little filler to it to keep my lips looking balanced but mainly focused on my top lip. Kristin used a technique where she inserted a lot of tiny injections in several places on my top lip with a filler that was more of a “builder” to get my top lip plumped up. She also injected botox above my lip in the corners (it’s called a “lip flip”) to get the corners to “pop” out a little more which is really what bothers me! It takes time to build the lips to get them exactly how you want them to because they need to stretch but I feel like my lips are finally getting closer to how I want them to look thanks to Kristin! She knew exactly what I wanted and really helped me understand the process. The fillers and botox last about 6 months for me, but this varies depending on the person.

A little over a year ago, I got fillers under my eyes for my pretty severe under eye circles and it made SUCH a huge difference! Everyone metabolizes filler differently and unfortunately for me, the life of my fillers is on the shorter side so I was definitely starting to notice my under eye circles were coming back. Kristin pointed out that I still had a “bubble” of filler under each eye and that if we added more filler they would start to look more bubbly or raised for lack of better descriptors lol! We could have dissolved them and started over but we instead decided to try cheek fillers to help support the area. In the before and after photo above you can see that after two visits, the cheek filler definitely helped fill in that area so the indentations look a lot less noticeable.

What I really enjoyed about working with Kristin was that she was super patient with me + really worked with me on a collaborative basis to make sure I knew what my options were and that in the end I would get results I was happy with. I’ve had such an amazing experience with Kristin and OVME Nashville and I would definitely recommend them!
