I visited the Headlands Lodge & Spa in Pacific City Oregon for a girl’s trip with my sister and our friend Jensyn. It was such a perfect getaway and definitely a much needed trip! Pacific City is one of my favorite beach towns to visit on the Oregon Coast. The next time I visit, I will definitely be staying at Headlands again!

WHAT I LOVED ABOUT THE HOTEL

The Headlands Lodge & Spa is absolutely gorgeous with modern, Pacific Northwest inspired interiors. I really felt at home at the lodge because every room felt so homey! The lodge is right on the beach so there are stunning views of the ocean from the rooms and the hotel restaurant. Our room was on the top floor and we had easy, private access to the beach from the back of the hotel. This is definitely the place to stay when visiting Pacific City!

Our room was absolutely amazing! I loved the view from our balcony, the tall ceilings, and of course the cast iron tub. The interiors definitely had a lodge feel to them with the A frame ceiling, wood paneled walls, and a beautiful fireplace. The living room area had cozy, colorful lounge seating. We sat there with the fireplace on and sipped on some hot tea before going to bed. We really enjoyed having a girls night here but this room would definitely be perfect for a couples getaway!

I loved the contemporary bathroom! In addition the the cast iron sink in the bedroom, there was an amazing walk in shower. It was mainly made of glass so you could actually see from the bedroom into the shower which I thought was super cool. I definitely took advantage of the beautiful tub! I took a long hot bath in the morning before my massage.

WHAT TO DO 

Visit the Tidepools Spa

The Tidepools Spa is located on the 1st floor of the Headlands Lodge & Spa. They offer several services from massages to facials. I visited the spa for an hour long recovery massage which was absolutely amazing! It was my first professional massage and it definitely did not disappoint. In fact, I am hooked! I’m dying to go back in for another massage soon. The masseuse was so sweet and really made me feel comfortable! I felt so refreshed afterwards.

Workout at Tidepools Wellness

The Tidepools Wellness center is connected to the spa. They have a great assortment of workout equipment from weights and exercise balls to cardio machines. Rocio and Jensyn worked out while I had my massage. They also have a hot tub right outside the spa and steam rooms in the bathrooms.  At night, we sat in the hot tub for about an hour talking and admiring views of the ocean. Afterwards, we went in the steam room. It was the perfect way to unwind!

Explore the Beach

The first night that we arrived, we took a walk on the beach and roasted marshmallows. We must have eaten about five s’mores each! The next day, we hiked up the side of the huge dune on the beach for an amazing view from the top of the rocks. The colors of the ocean, land, and rocks were just stunning. I took advantage of the beautiful setting and shot some photos for a few different campaigns up there. The last time I visited Pacific City with Rocio and Schyler, we hiked all the way up to the top of the dune! It was exhilarating.

WHERE TO EAT

Pelican Brewing Co.

I love to eat at Pelican Brewing Co. when I visit Pacific City. It’s right on the beach with amazing views of the ocean! It’s only about a 5 minute walk away from the Headlands Lodge & Spa. We walked over for lunch before exploring the beach. We thought it would be fun to order several plates to share so that’s exactly what we did! We ordered the clam chowder, a veggie burger, mac and cheese, and the margherita flat bread. Everything was delicious but I think my favorite was the amazing black bean (veggie) burger and fries. They also have amazing beer which of course they are known for. Whenever I visit with Schyler we like to order beer but since I was visiting with my under age sister and her friend, I didn’t order any!
