I have been wanting to get my eyelashes lifted for so long now and I finally got them done at Lash & Beauty Lab in downtown Portland. Just a little back story on my eyelashes; I do have long lashes however they do not hold a curl. When I use a mechanical curler, my eyelashes will fall out of the curl in about an hour. Mascara works a bit better but I’ve never been able to find the perfect one for my lashes. I first heard about lash lifts from a Youtuber that I follow and I thought it would be the perfect solution for me! I thought I would put together this blog post for those of you who are interested in getting a lash lift.

The Salon

Lash and Beauty Lab is located in the popular NW 23rd area. I was immediately drawn to this salon because of the beautiful interiors! The talented owner Cheri, designed the space herself. She has amazing taste to say the least. What I really loved about Lash & Beauty Lab was the attention to detail and amazing service. When I arrived, the receptionist immediately asked if I would like something to drink. They also had several types of gum, mints and candies set out in the lounge for waiting guests which I really appreciated. While I was getting my lashes done, Cheri asked if I would like a blanket. I am always freezing so it was really nice to feel cozy during the process.

What Is An Eyelash Lift?

A chemical solution and rubber pads are used to set the shape of your eyelashes during a lash lift. The process takes about 45 min or about an hour if you decide to get your lashes tinted too. The results are eyelashes that look like they have been curled by a really good mechanical curler, but they actually stay curled!

How Long Does It Last?

A lash lift can last up to 6-8 weeks. This will vary depending on your lashes.

Does It Hurt?

The process doesn’t hurt, although it does feel slightly uncomfortable because your eyes have to remain shut during the process with the pads that are set on the eyelids.

How Much Does It Cost?

The cost of a lash lift will vary depending on where you live. A lash lift at Lash and Beauty Lab costs $70 and a lash tint costs $30. Here are my before and afters! As you guys can see, my before lashes stick straight out. The after photo shows my lashes without mascara or a mechanical curler. I’m pretty amazed! I look so much more put together and awake in the mornings. This is a huge perk for me because I work from home and don’t usually wear makeup unless I have photos to shoot. I love the results and I don’t have enough nice things to say about Lash & Beauty Lab! If you live in the area I definitely recommend their services.
