My Boho Chic Kitchen + Dining Area Reveal
I
‘m super excited to finally be sharing my kitchen + dining area! I had a few details I wanted to “perfect” and it took me a minute before the space felt “right”. If you guys are new here, my fiance Schyler and I moved across the country from Portland to Nashville with a few boxes. I had to start over from scratch in our Nashville apartment but it was much smaller with more designated areas so it was simple to decorate. Our Pittsburgh apartment is an old loft with so many funny corners and pitched ceilings! It was a little tricky to decorate and I took my time thrifting pieces carefully. I wanted to make sure every item was something I loved!
When we moved in the kitchen barely had any upper cabinet storage and the fridge was in a random corner. I moved the fridge over next to the range which allowed me the space for a dining area! I also hired a contractor to install this shelf in the kitchen so that I could display my favorite ceramics and pretty things. These changes made such a huge difference! I’ll be sharing a before and after of the kitchen very soon so be sure to check back for it 😀
Almost all of the decor in my kitchen was thrifted, mainly at Goodwills in Nashville and Pittsburgh! I wanted beautiful ceramics with a southwestern feel, texture from wicker, wood elements, and of course lots of beautiful plants. I love the neutral feel from the earth toned decor. These are definitely some of my favorite thrift finds!

After out apartment nightmare situation, I was thrilled when we found this apartment online! It had the white kitchen, hardwood flooring, subway tile bathroom, marble elements. I love the contrast of the dark vinyl flooring and the white cabinets bounce off all the natural light that comes in from the window. It’s been such a great spot for shooting content in too! Just to the left of my kitchen is the dining area. I really wanted a designated dining area and once I moved that fridge I was able to get that!
I love how the dining are looks, the only thing I might want to add is a boho lantern above the dining table! It’s only a rental so I’m not going to bother with electrical for it so I will probably just DIY one. I’m going to be working on this project soon, but I’ll definitely post it here when I do!

The rug in here is from Ruggable, I love the neutral look of it. The runner on the table is actually a Colombian rug that my mom gave me! I love the colors in it. The prints are from Desenio and the colors in them tie in perfectly with the runner. I thrifted all four of these vintage Cesca chairs for $150 and the dining table is from Amazon. The basket wall, straw hat, and basket on the table were all thrifted.
I’m so happy with how my kitchen and dining area turned out! I love how everything feels cohesive and the earth tones + boho feel of the space make me feel at home. We recently renewed our lease here so we will be staying for another year! Check back for my fully decorate apartment blog post which will be up in the next few months 😀
