I can’t believe Christmas is almost here again… our first year as an engaged couple flew by! Schyler proposed to me during Christmas last year in New York in a magical location in Central Park which was a dream come true. I have been so excited planning fun things and new traditions for us this Christmas! Schyler and I have been together for 8 years and we’ve always taken annual Christmas photos. When Indio joined our little family, he became a part of the tradition! In this blog post I’m sharing our Christmas photos + our boho Christmas decorated Pittsburgh loft apartment. Last year, we had barely any furniture in our apartment, but this year the apartment looks so cozy and homey with our festive decor and I’m obsessed!

How adorable are these shots of Indio?! He has gotten so good at sitting still for photos! Indio told me that he’s hoping Santa gets him a new dog bed for Christmas 😉 Check out our blog post from last year for more Christmas photos of our little gang!

My favorite feature in our kitchen is the open shelf that I had installed. It’s perfect for displaying my favorite kitchen wares + boho decor and it’s very practical! I change out the decor for every holiday season and it looks amazing with festive garlands hung from it! This garland is actually 3 different garlands that I braided together, a beaded garland, a pine garland, and a eucalyptus garland. I think it looks super bohemian which I love! I lean towards earth tones and neutrals for my holiday decor over traditional because it fits our scheme better ;P

I love the way these pine garlands look hung in both archways of our hallway! Growing up we would put up tons of pine garlands with little homemade ornaments that my abuelita (my grandma) would make. I always loved that she made them so unique for us so when I couldn’t find the kind of boho ornaments I would want last year, I decided to DIY my ornaments! I made 5 different kinds ornaments with clay, twine, and bead ornaments that I hung from the hallway garlands and on the Christmas tree of course. I don’t have a hearth to hang our stockings from so I hung them from the wall rack in my entry way which I did last year too!

This year I added an additional garland, just like the one I did in the kitchen, to the new bookcases in the living room. It looks so good there with my little ceramic + wood Christmas trees! I recently added a DIY wine bar area and moved the bookcases down. The area looks so good now for a budget project! I’ll be doing another update to the counter top soon and I’ll share a blog post with more details about this spot then.

I also added a few small Christmas touches to our bedroom with a pine garland on our dresser and mini ceramic Christmas trees in green and pink on our nightstands! I really enjoyed decorating this holiday season and I actually got an early start so I’ll be able to enjoy them longer. I hope this blog post gave you some inspiration for your own holiday home!
