We had the best time on our trip to Flagstaff and an amazing stay at High Country Motor Lodge! Formerly a roadside motel, the property has been renovated into a beautiful 4 star boutique hotel. It’s located minutes from downtown Flagstaff which made it really easy for us to sneak back for Sage’s naps in between exploring the city. It was the perfect hotel for our first family trip! With a unique nordic spa experience in a mountain setting, a cocktail bar & lounge, and it’s convenient location I couldn’t recommend this hotel more for your visit to this Arizona mountain town. The Lobby

I loved the 1960’s retro elements mixed with the contemporary lodge aesthetic of this boutique hotel! There were several lounge areas in the lobby in addition to the seating areas in the cocktail bar & lounge. Those areas were a little more intimate, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee, working remotely, or enjoying a conversation with family & friends.

The General Store

The General Store cocktail bar and lounge, located right off the lobby, is a really cool space to unwind. There is a little shop where you can order coffee, bites, or purchase something from their curated selection of gift items. You can also order food at the bar! Our first night at the hotel we ordered beer and pizza there. The pizza was fantastic! On our last morning, we ordered coffee and breakfast at The General Store shop. We also really enjoyed sitting by the fires in the outdoor lounge area!

The Room

We stayed in a room with two queen beds which gave us plenty of a room for Sage’s play pen (they also offer play pens but I wanted to bring ours). It had a little lounge seating area for two which was where we got work done while he slept. I loved the walk in shower and the luxurious Malin & Goetz bath products that smelled amazing! The water pressure was fantastic so I enjoyed my evening showers, perfect for unwinding after our long days. In addition to their classic room, they also offer Junior Suites, rooms with a pool view, pet friendly rooms, and accessible rooms. They also have three adorable cottages you can book as well!
