During our Colorado trip, we stayed at The Rathbone Hotel & Parlour Bar in Montrose—and it turned out to be a true gem. I was instantly drawn to this boutique hotel by its beautifully designed rooms and the stunning restaurant on-site. Housed in a historic Montrose building, the property has been thoughtfully renovated, blending classic charm with modern comfort. The spacious rooms, soaring ceilings, and meticulous attention to detail made our stay extra special. As luck would have it, our visit coincided with my birthday, so having such a gorgeous place to celebrate made the trip even more memorable. We had an incredibly comfortable stay and such a great overall experience that I couldn’t wait to share it with you all here on the blog!

The Room

The room was spacious and modern, but what really stole the show for me was the bathroom—the tile in the shower was absolutely gorgeous. The suite featured a cozy living area with a beautiful view of downtown Montrose, a dedicated workspace with a desk, and a stunning walk-in closet. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the sound machine on the nightstand and the blackout curtains—both of which definitely helped me get a great night’s sleep!

The Parlor Bar

We dined at the Parlor Bar downstairs for both dinner and breakfast, and the space was just as stunning as the rest of the hotel. For dinner, we shared a juicy burger and flavorful empanadas, each paired with a beautifully crafted cocktail. The next morning, we enjoyed hearty breakfast burritos and lattes before heading back to our room to pack. While the food was delicious, it was the ambiance that truly elevated the experience—elegant, cozy, and full of character.

If you’re planning a trip to this part of Colorado, I can’t recommend staying here enough! Book your stay here.
