Watching Sage turn two felt both sweet and surreal, and celebrating him with a Winnie the Pooh–inspired party felt like the most natural choice. Sage loves Winnie the Pooh, so “Sage’s Two With Pooh” party came together in a way that felt personal and meaningful rather than overly themed. We kept the color palette soft and neutral, letting thoughtful details speak for themselves and creating a space that felt calm, playful, and full of heart.

The food and activities were some of my favorite parts. We served “smackeroles” of veggies, fruit, pita bread, crackers, olives, and more in Rabbit’s Garden Charcuterie, complete with smoked salmon dip and hummus. We served Christopher Robin’s lemonade and iced tea for sipping. The Pooh Games were a hit — Winnie the Pooh trivia, Pin the Tail on Eeyore, and Guess the Honey Flavor at Pooh’s Honey Bar with four different honeys and fresh baked scones. Everything feel interactive and fun! And of course, the Honey Hummingbird Cake was the perfect finishing touch — simple, sweet, and so fitting for the theme. Andrew baked the cake the day before and made fresh scones the morning of the party.

All of the decor was DIY, which made the day feel even more special. From paper garlands we spent several nights making, a handmade birthday banner I made for his 1st birthday last year, to a balloon arch that brought everything together. It was one of those moments where creating something with your own hands just feels meaningful. Seeing Sage run around, laugh, and soak it all in reminded me how fleeting these days are. His second birthday was everything I hoped it would be — joyful, thoughtful, and full of the kind of moments you want to remember forever.

Sage’s 1st birthday party, “Sage’s Wylde One In The Woods” was forest themed. Check out 1st first birthday party here.
