We decided to take our first road trip since moving to Nashville to Memphis, TN, about a 3 hour drive from Nashville! Both Schyler and I were really interested in visiting this city because of the music history there. Blues music originated in Memphis so there is a ton of music influence everywhere you go there and of course it was the home of the famous rock star Elvis Presley! We had such a fun time in Memphis and I found tons of cool spots for photos while visiting the city which I’m of course sharing in this blog post with you guys.

On our recent trip to Europe, my sister and I decided to take a day trip to Ghent from Brussels, Belgium. Ghent is a small, Belgian city about 30-45 min outside of Brussels by train, so it was perfect for a day trip! The city is very walkable and it has so much character! Even on a rainy day, we were able to see a lot of what the city had to offer. It’s a beautiful, medieval city with tons of hip boutiques, coffee shops, and restaurants. We absolutely loved it! It actually reminded me a little bit of Portland, OR where I currently live. Both cities are very unique! I wanted to share some of the spots we visited and restaurants that we ate at for those who might be interested in visiting Ghent but don’t know where to start.

This was my second time visiting the city but my first time visiting Amsterdam with my sister. Rocio has always wanted to visit Amsterdam so it was really cool re-discovering the city through her eyes and exploring areas I didn’t get to see on my last trip. We took some really fun shots so I decided to put together an Instagram guide for Amsterdam! In this blog post, I am including Instagrammable places and restaurants.

Our suite on the top floor had an amazing view and it was absolutely gorgeous. I really loved the music inspired design of our room. Actually, the overall design of the hotel is music inspired!
