Taking Time for Self Care at Root Whole Body
I have had back problems for several years now because I’m always at my desk working on my laptop or hunching over my phone. It’s a known fact that people who work desk jobs struggle with back pain. I do yoga and get up every half hour but I wanted to do something more to combat the tension. That’s when I found Root Whole Body in NW Portland! I’ve been visiting Root Whole Body for a few months now and it has been exactly what I needed! They have a location in SE as well but the NW location is the newer location.
Root Whole Body is a one-stop shop for wellness and natural care where you can visit with a naturopath, chiropractor, masseuse, and more all in one place! They also offer yoga classes and several spa treatments from facials to hydrotherapy.
The cafe at Root Whole Body is organic and free of refined sugars. They serve bowls, juices, smoothies, & tonics! Their menu is vegan but you can add egg, smoked salmon, goat chèvre, etc. to your plates should you wish. Most of the menu is gluten free as well!
I’ve been getting acupuncture, cupping, and a massage during my visits. I like to get there early so I can sit in the sauna and relax in the tea room before my treatments. It’s so relaxing and it’s an amazing feeling knowing that I’m taking time for self care. I had never tried acupuncture or cupping before visiting Root Whole Body and I am loving it! Especially the cupping, it really seems to relieve a lot of tension in my back. The massages are absolutely amazing as well! I feel so much relief afterwards.
