A little while before Schyler and I moved to Nashville, my sister and I shot these retro photos! I had spotted these locations while driving around Portland and had them written down on my phone for future shoot locations. All of the photo locations were very retro and funny enough they were all car businesses! If you guy’s are new here, you should know, I love anything retro! On one of the days my sister had off from work we finally went and shot these photos! I love how they turned out so I had to share them with you guys.

My Experience with Acupuncture & Cupping at Root Whole Body
By Esperanza on November 23, 2019For the past three months, I’ve been visiting Root Whole Body for massage, acupuncture, and cupping! Read more about my experience with Root Whole Body here. I’ve had back problems since I was a pre-teen due to manual labor on my parent’s farm as a kid. Over the years, my back pain has gotten worse since my job requires me to sit at a desk on a laptop. I’ve heard great things about the benefits of acupuncture and cupping so I decided to try them out (combined with massage) to see if my back felt any better!
Meeting with a Nutritionist & My Meal Plan + Regimen
By Esperanza on November 14, 2019I’ve been visiting Root Whole Body these past few months for massage and acupuncture and recently I decided to meet with their nutritionist/naturopath to discuss my diet and lifestyle. I’ve always been pretty good about eating healthy, but I know that I am lacking in certain areas and wanted someone to help me detect the holes in my diet. Between all the information about health and diet online and misinformation from friends and co-workers that I’ve heard over the years, it’s hard to know where to start.
Staying in a Modern Cabin with Getaway
By Esperanza on August 30, 2019Earlier this summer Rocio, Indio, and I got to stay in the cutest Getaway cabin near Mt. Adams in Washington! I had seen these cabins all over Instagram and Pinterest so I was really excited to stay in their new Washington campground. It was only about an hour and a half outside of Portland so it was the perfect weekend trip! The campground is full of these amazing modern cabins.
Taking Time for Self Care at Root Whole Body
By Esperanza on August 29, 2019I have had back problems for several years now because I’m always at my desk working on my laptop or hunching over my phone. It’s a known fact that people who work desk jobs struggle with back pain. I do yoga and get up every half hour but I wanted to do something more to combat the tension. That’s when I found Root Whole Body in NW Portland! I’ve been visiting Root Whole Body for a few months now and it has been exactly what I needed! They have a location in SE as well but the NW location is the newer location.
Day Trip Essentials: What I Never Leave Home Without
By Esperanza on June 9, 2019During the summer months, I love to take day trips to the beautiful Mt. Hood area. It’s about an hour drive from Portland so its super quick, but instantly transports you into a Pacific Northwest wonderland. My favorite spot to visit is Trillium Lake. On days where it’s not overcast you can see Mt. Hood in the background! There are several trails to walk or hike in the area too. I went up for the day this past weekend with my sister and our friend for our first hike of the season.
There is nothing dreamier than a field full of flowers! I’m lucky enough to live close to a lot of flower fields. My favorite one during Spring is the Woodburn Tulip Farm. I’ve visited the Woodburn Tulip Farm every year for the past three years that I have lived in Portland. Every year is different because they have several different patches that they alternate planting in. This year the tulip patches were especially beautiful! The tulips made a beautiful rainbow of colors.
