This is a very inexpensive, and easy DIY for party decorations that can really add a wow factor to your party! We are going to hang these over a sheeted board as a fun backdrop for a photo booth! I am definitely going to save these for future bridal showers, baby showers, and parties.

Floral, artificial flowers, floral hanging, flowers, wall haning, floral wall hanging, flower wall hanging, DIY, decorations, party I bought a variety of artificial flowers from Walmart for $.97 a bunch. What a steal! The roll of twine was about $1.60. I already had some scissors and wire cutters lying around the house which you will need as well. Directions:

Start by cutting the flower heads off with about a 1/4 -1/2″ of stem left. You will need about that much stem to tie the twine around the flower heads. You can adjust per your project. I started tying flower heads at one end and made my way down to the bottom. I left a good amount of slack on either end in order to hang them. These 6 strands spanned about 2 ft so I have 4 ft to go. This should give you an idea of about how many strands you will need to make per your project 🙂

XOXO

  1. That is so cute, I love playing around with DIY’s like this! I’ve got things in ready to do 3 different DIY’s and just haven’t had the time so I must get on and do them – but I’m running out of wall space!! 😉

  2. These would look super cute in my daughter’s nursery as a feature wall. Love anything which involves flowers, really lovely, thanks

  3. So pretty! I love the colors and the effect that it creates. 🙂 I may want to do this to my room someday. I also love how you got these at Walmart. Good prices there, but of course I may be a little biased! 😉

  4. I absolutely love this! It looks beautiful yet, simple to make. And you can make different ones for each season using seasonal fake flowers. This is also the perfect backdrop for pictures!

  5. Love this! I think I’m going to make one for my dorm room. About how many flowers are on each strand, from top to bottom?
