The Best Instagram Spots in Disneyland and California Adventures
My sister and I killed it with the Disneyland content (if I do say so myself!) so I decided to make a guide for the best Instagram spots in Disneyland and California Adventures! We only had one day in Disneyland but we managed to hit all of our favorite rides, stop for Disney themed snacks, and shoot our content like the lady bosses we are. Of course there are a ton of cool photo spots all over the park, but these are the best in my opinion ;)!
Mad Tea Party
The teacups at the Mad Tea Party in Fantasyland are super colorful and fun so naturally, they are the perfect Instagram photo opp! We shot some cute photos in the tea cups during the ride and then quickly shot a few in front of the tea cups while everybody was exiting after the ride. The photos in the tea cup were a little tricky while spinning but they came out really cute and I love the blurred effect we got in the background by shooting in portrait on iPhone.
Small World Castle
Unfortunately, the Sleeping Beauty Castle was being remodeled when we visited so we didn’t get to see it, but we shot some cute photos in front of the Small World Castle in Fantasyland. The crowd here is way smaller too, except when Mickey’s Sensational Parade is happening which is at 3:30 and 6pm. The parade starts near the Small World Castle so there is a lot more people there in that area.
King Arthur’s Carousel
King Arthurs’ Carousel, also in Fantasyland, is another fun spot for Instagram photos. It’s super colorful, so it’s the perfect photo background. We shot some quick photos on the horses while the carousel was spinning!
Main Street U.S.A
Main Street U.S.A at the entrance of the park is super cute with it’s pastel, old-timey buildings! I thought the Refreshment Corner was especially cute so we snapped some quick photos there after the crowd from Mickey’s Sensational Parade had died down. We bought a lollipop and a Mickey Mouse shaped pretzel for photo props and ate them right after!
Micky’s Toontown was my favorite spot when I was little because that’s where Micky and Minnie’s houses are! I shot the first photo in front of Minnie’s house and the second photo at the gas station in Toontown. I love the retro theme there! There are a ton of other cute photo opps there as well.
This shot in front of Incredicoaster and Mickey’s Fun Wheel ended up being one of my favorite shots! There are several great spots to get a shot like this from, but we took ours right up against the fence down by the water.
Car’s Land has a fun retro feel to it with diners, gas stations, and more, so it’s a really fun place to shoot Instagram photos! If you guys follow me on Instagram (@theurbandarling) you’ll know that I love anything with a retro theme. We shot these in front of Flo’s Cafe and the little gas station. I love the color schemes in those spots!
Just as a reference, we visited Disneyland during Spring Break, one of the busiest times in the park. Even with the crowds we were able to shoot a ton of photos! The weather was perfect that day too.
I hope you guys enjoy this guide! Have fun on your trip to Disney 🙂
