Andrew and I recently filmed a video for my socials of five easy gluten free breakfast ideas. We spent the whole day baking and shooting these delicious recipes that we have been enjoying for days now. I snapped a few photos on my camera that I thought I would share in this blog post with the finished dishes as well! When we moved into our new rental house, I was so excited for Sage to have his own nursery! While Sage and I were living at my parent’s house, we had to share a room. Luckily the room was big enough for me to have my bedroom space on one side and his nursery space on the other, but I was really excited to decorate a true nursery room for him. His furniture set from Dadada Baby is so perfect for this modern neutral nursery for baby boy! We have been living in our rental home for a few months now, and it has been so fun decorating our place together! Andrew moved down here from Portland, OR, with only what he could fit in his car, and I had previously been living with my parents for a year, so I didn’t have a ton of furniture either. We both love decorating, so we were super excited to make this house feel like home. I would describe the style of our home as modern Bohemian with natural decor pieces, Spanish-style elements, and unique vintage finds. The setting is mostly neutral with hints of bold colors like terracotta and green (our favorite colors!). I finally feel like our place is really starting to come together, and I wanted to share some of the brands that we love, and pieces we have incorporated into our home in this post!

Our New Sofa Sectional From Rove Lab

Andrew and I have been living in our rental home with Sage and Arlo for a month now; I can’t believe how fast that went by! We recently received our new sofa which we have been so excited about. It’s the M1 Sofa Sectional from Rove Lab, which conveniently arrived at our house in boxes, and it was so easy to set up. The sleeper sofa that we had been using temporarily has now been moved to our guest room, and the new sofa totally ties the whole space together! I really wanted the neutral cream color, but after going back and forth, we decided a colored sofa would be a safer bet with a dog and a baby in the house. I was a little nervous about the bold color at first, but after decorating it in our space, I realized it was perfect with the rest of our aesthetic and design style.

I’m so excited to be sharing a reveal of baby boy’s nursery! i’ve always dreamed of having a beautiful nursery for my first baby and I’m so happy with how it turned out. I was able to partner with some amazing brands on the furniture, was given some wonderful gifts from my baby registry, and a lot of the decor was thrifted. I was going for a neutral, desert boho feel and I think I accomplished just that! As I am writing this we are a week away from his due date which is so crazy. I can’t wait to see my baby boy enjoying this space I decorated for him.

I have been itching to rearrange our living room for awhile now and I figured it would be the perfect time to do it right before I started decorating our apartment for fall. Previously, I had our couch/tv watching area separated from my “reading nook” by the window. Now all of our seating is arranged together in a more conversational way which I love because it’s so much more open now! The extra space is really nice although the couch is much further from our tv now lol but hey, it’s just a rental so we aren’t aiming for perfection here ;P

Now that we are going into the colder months of the year, we are going to be spending much more time at home and that means I need to be comfy! I love cozy loungewear sets and pieces that still look chic enough to spend the day in, bonus points if they be can mix and matched. I’m drawn to earth tones and linens so I was so excited when I saw that Parachute was launching a linen loungewear line! I love their clean, modern aesthetic and that their products are safely made without any harmful chemicals or synthetics. I’m FINALLY sharing a tour of our decorated Pittsburgh loft apartment! It has been such a long process and at times it felt like I would never be finished lol. I’ve always been a thrifter but I dedicated myself to thrifting the perfect decor to fill our home with, from that launched Urban Darling Shop, my online boho decor shop. Luckily as a full time content creator, I was able to partner with brands on a lot of major furniture pieces and the rest I thrifted or bought from Amazon, Target, etc. After a busy year and lots of delays, I finally felt like our space was “ready” to share.

I recently shared a reveal of my boho kitchen and dining area (check out the blog post here)! I am so happy with my space and how it’s come together. If you guys are new here, when we moved across the country over a year ago, I had to start collecting decor and furniture from scratch. I’ve slowly thrifted most of the home decor in our apartment and I have loved the process! It’s so fun finding the perfect items to display in your space. I know that not everyone has thrift stores near them or maybe they can’t find the right kind of decor when they go which is part of why I started my boho shop Urban Darling Shop! You can find a lot of the kinds of decor I style in my space in my shop but I also wanted to share similar items I’ve found on Amazon! Think wood decor, earth tones, ceramics, plants, and wicker.
