About five years ago, I had food poisoning from a bad Caesar salad. I was having terrible acid reflux and stomach pain so I took a trip to the doctor’s office where I was given a “GI cocktail”, which was basically straight antibiotics that made me sick all night. I didn’t know back then that after taking antibiotics, you need to take probiotics to balance out the bacteria in your stomach. For years I struggled with stomach pain before meeting with a naturopath who recommended probiotics. I’ve been taking Probiotics ever since!
Meeting with a Nutritionist & My Meal Plan + Regimen
By Esperanza on November 14, 2019I’ve been visiting Root Whole Body these past few months for massage and acupuncture and recently I decided to meet with their nutritionist/naturopath to discuss my diet and lifestyle. I’ve always been pretty good about eating healthy, but I know that I am lacking in certain areas and wanted someone to help me detect the holes in my diet. Between all the information about health and diet online and misinformation from friends and co-workers that I’ve heard over the years, it’s hard to know where to start.
I’ve lived in my apartment for over a year and a half now and until recently, my bedroom never looked exactly how I wanted it to. I was always busy decorating other areas and putting it off. Slowly but surely, I started gathering pieces that I loved to decorate my bedroom with and I love how it looks now! I love mid-century modern and white minimalistic interiors so my bedroom is a little mix of both. I wanted to share my updated bedroom and some of the amazing pieces I found for it with you guys!
I can’t be-LEAF it’s Fall again! I love a good pun, I can’t help it ;P Fall is definitely my favorite season for fashion, activities, and weather. There are so many fun activities to do in the Fall and the crisp, cool weather is perfect for sweaters and layering. I’m ready for it with these Fall closet staples!
On my first trip to Europe 5 years ago, my mom really wanted me to visit Bruges in Belgium. She visited when she was around my age and absolutely fell in love with it. I didn’t make it over there my first time in Europe, but I’m so glad I got the chance to see it this time around! Bruges is probably the most popular Belgian city and for good reason because it looks like a fairytale town! We visited during the summer and the amount of tourists there was unreal. I definitely suggest visiting during an off season if you can. Either way, it’s a dream.
On our recent trip to Europe, my sister and I decided to take a day trip to Ghent from Brussels, Belgium. Ghent is a small, Belgian city about 30-45 min outside of Brussels by train, so it was perfect for a day trip! The city is very walkable and it has so much character! Even on a rainy day, we were able to see a lot of what the city had to offer. It’s a beautiful, medieval city with tons of hip boutiques, coffee shops, and restaurants. We absolutely loved it! It actually reminded me a little bit of Portland, OR where I currently live. Both cities are very unique! I wanted to share some of the spots we visited and restaurants that we ate at for those who might be interested in visiting Ghent but don’t know where to start.
We all want that perfect shave right? Cue the Philips SatinShave Advanced, a wet & dry cordless electric shaver! It’s the perfect shaver for unwanted body hair on areas like your legs, armpits, bikini area, and more. I’ve been looking for a shaver like this for awhile now and I’m so glad I found it! Irritated skin, bumps, and ingrown hairs are now a thing of the past for me. Hello smooth, soft, hair-free skin!
A few weekends ago, my sister Rocio and I got the chance to go to Bumbershoot, a music festival in Seattle. During our trip, we stayed at The Graduate Hotel near the University of Washington campus. The hotel has a historic 1930’s Art Deco design which I love!
What to do in Luxembourg City- Luxembourg Travel Guide
By Esperanza on September 10, 2019Luxembourg is a very small country that borders France, Germany and Belgium. On our recent trip to Europe my sister and I decided to take a train from Cologne, Germany to Luxembourg City (about 4 hours and 30 min) where we stayed for a few days. It’s a beautiful city with a lot of French influence in it’s architecture and gardens. We absolutely loved it! In this blog post I will be sharing places to see, where to stay, and restaurants to eat at.
What To Do In Cologne, Germany- Cologne Travel Guide
By Esperanza on September 6, 2019On our recent trip to Europe, Rocio and I spent a couple days in Cologne Germany. We really only had about a day and a half but we were able to squeeze in a ton of great spots! What’s great about Cologne is that it’s a small city so it’s easy to get around in. Almost everyone spoke English and there were Wi-Fi stations all over the city. It’s a cute city to stop in on a trip to Germany!
