I am still in the process of decorating my Pittsburgh loft apartment! There is a wall in my living room that I have been going back and forth on for a while now. I wasn’t sure what to do with it because there is such a long wall and due to space planning there isn’t really enough room for furniture. So I decided to make a gallery wall!
Over Thanksgiving, I flew to Phoenix, AZ, where my parents have retired to spend Thanksgiving with my family! My parents had a hotel deal in Palm Springs for a week so after Thanksgiving we drove there from Phoenix so that I could enjoy a couple of days in Palm Springs with my parents and sister. I had never been to Palm Springs before so I was super excited to check it out! I had a few places I definitely wanted to check out, some of which were closed due to Covid, but it was still fun. I’m sharing all of the spots I loved in this blog post!
Our Christmas photos look a little different this year! We usually head to the Christmas tree farm but decided to take photos at home instead with Indio and I actually love how they turned out! My sister is coming to visit us this Christmas so I wanted to make our apartment extra cozy and special for the holiday! My interior decor style is bohemian meets mid-century modern and it can be hard to find Christmas ornaments that fit that style so I ended up making my own DIY ornaments and decorating around those.
Over the Thanksgiving holiday I flew to Arizona to be with my family. My parents retired in Arizona a few years ago which I am very happy about because I LOVE the desert! I can’t get enough of the beautiful saguaros. Schyler would not be down with moving there because of the heat but it’s nice having a home base there that I can visit! During my time there, I really wanted to do a bohemian desert sunset photo shoot and I love how the photos turned out.

I am so excited for Christmas this year because my sister is flying from LA to visit us in Pittsburgh for the holiday while my parents go to Colombia to visit family. On my recent trip to Philadelphia, I wanted to pull out all of my best fashion pieces! I thrifted so many great Fall staples from Thriftique, a local non-profit thrift store here in Pittsburgh. Fall is one of my favorite seasons to dress for because of all the layers. When I stopped by Thriftique, I had a list of things I was looking for and I found every single one! When Schyler and I started dating, he was in a band that toured the country so he’s gotten to see almost every. major city in America! I was always fascinated by this and asked him multiple times what cities he thought I would like and which ones were must sees. Philadelphia was always one of the cities on that list! When we moved to Pennsylvania, his dad told us that Philly is actually where Schyler’s ancestors settled! So we knew we had to book a trip to check out the city together. Philly is a very important city in American history. It’s where the Declaration of Independence was signed, it’s where Betsy Ross sewed the American flag, and home to the Liberty Bell.
