Over Thanksgiving, my family and I stopped by Joshua Tree National Park on our way to Palm Springs. I have always wanted to see Joshua Tree so I was super excited to finally get the chance. I can’t even describe what a beautiful, magical place Joshua Tree is. It looked like a place not out of this world… like Aliens put it there or something lol! We didn’t get to see everything the park had to offer because we were only there for a day but I wanted to share my favorite spots that we did see.
I have had a white comforter and sheets for years and I’ve always loved the bright, clean look of it, but recently I’ve been thinking about changing it up! We brought Indio home a year and a half ago and shortly after he was potty trained, we started letting him up on the bed with us so naturally our white comforter always looks a bit dingy. We love having him on the bed with us though so I figured a comforter and sheets with color would help prevent this!

I am in the process of decorating our Pittsburgh loft apartment that we have been living in for about 3 months now. During our recent trip to New York City, we stayed at the Garden Suites Hotel by Affinia for two nights. The hotel was only a 10 min walk from Central Park and very centrally located to everything we wanted to do in Manhattan so it was the perfect spot for us! We stayed in a suite with two queen beds, a separate living and dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen. It was so nice having a spacious hotel room for three during our stay!
Schyler, my boyfriend of 7 years, proposed to me on our recent trip to New York City at the beautiful Bethesda Fountain in Central Park! My sister spent Christmas with us in Pittsburgh and came with us on the trip where she was going to be staying to meet her boyfriend and his family in New Jersey. It worked out perfectly because Schyler was able to coordinate with her to capture the moment!
I am still in the process of decorating my Pittsburgh loft apartment! There is a wall in my living room that I have been going back and forth on for a while now. I wasn’t sure what to do with it because there is such a long wall and due to space planning there isn’t really enough room for furniture. So I decided to make a gallery wall!
Over Thanksgiving, I flew to Phoenix, AZ, where my parents have retired to spend Thanksgiving with my family! My parents had a hotel deal in Palm Springs for a week so after Thanksgiving we drove there from Phoenix so that I could enjoy a couple of days in Palm Springs with my parents and sister. I had never been to Palm Springs before so I was super excited to check it out! I had a few places I definitely wanted to check out, some of which were closed due to Covid, but it was still fun. Our Christmas photos look a little different this year! We usually head to the Christmas tree farm but decided to take photos at home instead with Indio and I actually love how they turned out! My sister is coming to visit us this Christmas so I wanted to make our apartment extra cozy and special for the holiday! My interior decor style is bohemian meets mid-century modern and it can be hard to find Christmas ornaments that fit that style so I ended up making my own DIY ornaments and decorating around those.
