Taking care of a newborn, especially as a single mom, is not easy! The first few weeks were really hard due to some baby blues I was going through… The traumatic delivery and sleep deprivation didn’t help, but mainly I was sad that my partner was missing out on the newborn phase and the lack of support from having a partner. In the evenings, I would hand my baby to my parents so I could take a shower and sob the whole time. Sage Wylder is now 5 weeks old and things are getting a lot better, especially now that we have a bit more of a routine going. He is thriving at his check ups, which I definitely credit to all the breastfeeding! I’ve always thought I was meant to be a mom and now I feel validated that I am a good mom too. It makes me so proud and so sad at the same time watching him grow because I know he will never be this little again! Of course he will always be my baby in my heart. Anyway, I wanted to take some cute photos in the desert to celebrate his first month of life!

I am so in love with my baby boy and so blessed to be his mama! I can’t wait for all the adventures we will have. And even though it’s bittersweet, I’m also excited to watch him grow and change over the years. Although of course he will always be my baby boy 😉
