Sharing another blog post guide of the boutiques I visited during my trip to Los Angeles back in March to visit my sister who lives there! I was able to visit several boutiques in Silver Lake and Venice Beach while we were exploring in those neighborhoods and even a cute vintage shop on Melrose Ave. Each of these boutiques had such amazing aesthetics that I absolutely loved. I hope this blog post is helpful for not only tourists visiting the city but LA residents as well!
I’m finally getting around to sharing the first installment in the Los Angeles travel guides I plan to share from my March trip visiting my sister! We were able to visit several beautiful coffee shops in the city that I thought I would round up for fellow coffee lovers. I love checking out pretty coffee shops during my travel and Los Angeles definitely had a plethora of them. During my trip to Los Angeles to visit my sister, Rocio and I took a road trip to Ojai and on our way back to LA, we stopped in Malibu for the day to explore! Malibu was absolutely amazing with it’s stunning views and beautiful beaches. I knew it would be the perfect backdrop for some sexy swimsuit photos! My sister took these photos for me on the beach below Point Dume and I love how they turned out.
Mother’s Day is just around the corner and I can’t believe how quickly this year is going by! May is always a busy month with Memorial Day weekend, Mother’s Day and more plus it’s Schyler’s birthday month. I wanted to get this blog post up earlier but I had my nephew Brio’s baptism come up in Salem, OR so I am just now getting around to rounding up my gift ideas today! I wanted to share some chic, neutral, and cozy gift ideas that any mom at any age would love. I’ve included items at all different price points so there is something for everyone!
I am finally getting around to sharing this blog post that I have been meaning to sit down and write! If you have been following along on our moving journey here on the blog or on socials, you may be wondering what happened to our plan to leave Pittsburgh and move to Las Vegas! I’ve addressed this on my Instagram here and in this YouTube vlog that Schyler and I filmed, but I wanted to share a life update on here as well as I have gotten so many questions about it!
Schyler and I have been going on a lot of nature walks over the past few months and lucky for us, we live right next to a beautiful canyon with lots of pretty photo spots! I knew I just had to shoot some photos on this beautiful grassy hill when we came across it and we finally got the chance to on this sunny spring day. The chic neutral spring outfit I’m wearing features some new pieces from some of my favorite sustainable brands. I love the way these photos turned out, they definitely have a classic, dreamy feel to them!
I’m so excited to finally be sharing this beautiful bridal photo shoot that Schyler and I worked so hard on! This is the exciting photo shoot that I had been hinting at over the past few months on socials and finally got the chance to edit. We were battling with the wind at our photo location the day of the shoot (which kept knocking over our baskets lol) but I am so happy with how these photos turned out. I know that Schyler and I will cherish these photos forever and I love that we will be able to show them to our kids one day with pride!
A few weeks ago, I visited Allure Salon in Kennewick, WA (one of the three cities that makes up the Tri-Cities area where we are from, if you are not familiar) for a much needed hair makeover! It had been about 9 months since my last visit to the hair salon back in Pittsburgh where I had my hair dyed a very dark brown (before that it was dyed black). My natural hair is lighter so the roots were definitely showing through quite a bit and there was a weird purple/red tint to my hair that I didn’t love and wanted to have color corrected.
For those of you that are new here, my fiance and I recently moved back to our hometown of Kennewick, WA after moving around the country for over 7 years! Kennewick is one of the 3 towns that make up the Tri-Cities metro in Eastern Washington. So much has changed while we’ve been gone, in a good way! When we moved, there weren’t a lot of shops are restaurants that had the kind of aesthetic that I love sharing with you guys on here and on my social media channels. But over the past few years so many cute spots have opened up which I was thrilled to discover! I’ve loved getting to know the local shop owners and scouting spots with my fiance Schyler. I wanted to share a fun guide to (historic) downtown Kennewick, WA for those of you that may be moving to the area or maybe those that live in the area and want to check out some cute spots! I’ll be adding to this post as I visit more shops and hopefully sharing guides for other areas in the Tri-Cities soon too so be sure to check back.
Over the past few years I’ve been doing a lot of work on my mental health, physical health, and overall wellness. I have always been an anxious person but I also struggle with depression and PTSD due to childhood traumas. One thing I’ve always known since I was a little girl is that I want to be a mommy (very badly), which is why I felt it was important to start putting in extra work into healing those emotional scars, so I can be the best version of myself for my child. I still have a lot of work to do, it’s definitely a journey and it may take years to really “heal” some childhood wounds, but I’m proud of myself for making it a priority. We hope to start our family very soon, so I’m going to be focusing in on this even more.
