I can’t believe Christmas is almost here again… our first year as an engaged couple flew by! Schyler proposed to me during Christmas last year in New York in a magical location in Central Park which was a dream come true. I have been so excited planning fun things and new traditions for us this Christmas! Schyler and I have been together for 8 years and we’ve always taken annual Christmas photos. When Indio joined our little family, he became a part of the tradition! In this blog post I’m sharing our Christmas photos + our boho Christmas decorated Pittsburgh loft apartment. Last year, we had barely any furniture in our apartment, but this year the apartment looks so cozy and homey with our festive decor and I’m obsessed!

Cozy Linen Loungewear At Home With Parachute
By Esperanza on November 11, 2021Now that we are going into the colder months of the year, we are going to be spending much more time at home and that means I need to be comfy! I love cozy loungewear sets and pieces that still look chic enough to spend the day in, bonus points if they be can mix and matched. I’m drawn to earth tones and linens so I was so excited when I saw that Parachute was launching a linen loungewear line! I love their clean, modern aesthetic and that their products are safely made without any harmful chemicals or synthetics. Timeless, well made pieces are what I’m drawn and want to fill my closet/home with. I just had to get my hands on a few of my favorite pieces 😉
Boho Chic Thanksgiving Tablescape With Parachute
By Esperanza on November 9, 2021I was so excited to decorate for the holidays this year now that I’m finally “done” decorating our Pittsburgh loft apartment! I have been so inspired by beautiful pins of table-scapes I’ve seen on Pinterest this year and I’ve been envisioning this one in my dreams for months now so I was super excited to style our Thanksgiving table-scape. After a year of amazing thrifting, I’ve collected so many unique dinnerware and serving pieces. What I was missing was festive table linens to dress the table with! I found the perfect ones in the Linen Waffle Tabletop collection from Parachute Home.
The beautiful city of Pittsburgh never ceases to amaze me! My fiance Schyler and I are originally from Washington but we have moved all over the country in the past 8 years that we’ve been dating. Portland, Nashville, and now Pittsburgh! We have lived in Pittsburgh for a little over a year now and still have so many places to explore. We’ve checked out a few parts of Schenley Park and Phipps Conservatory of course but we didn’t know about this trail located next to the Schenley Park Visitor Center & Cafe. We decided to check it out to admire the beautiful fall leaves that have started turning all over the city!
If you are looking for some easy, last minute Halloween costumes, I’ve rounded up some fun ideas for you! I loved styling these 5 halloween costume ideas over the month! I’m very frugal and I like to pick Halloween costumes that I can DIY without having to buy anything. That’s why all 5 of these characters had to have style that would be easy to re-create with closet staples/basics. Most of the pieces in my closet are actually thrifted so you can easily find similar pieces at your local thrift store, but I’ve also linked similar items below for each outfit that you can get on Amazon! I’m sharing one look for each character here but you can check out the full blog posts for more looks: Wednesday Addams, Monica Geller, Audrey Hepburn, Lorelai Gilmore, and Selena Quintanilla.
Cozy Fall Photos At Home With My Fiance
By Esperanza on October 26, 2021Last fall we had just moved in to our apartment and barely had any decor or furniture in it! This fall season our apartment is finally fully decorated so I was actually able to decorate this year. It really feels like home now so I wanted to capture some fall photos at home with my fiance Schyler. We’ve been together going on 8 years now but this is our first fall as an engaged couple so I think that makes it a little extra special 😉 I’ve had this yellow plaid dress for a few years now and thought it would be perfect for a fall touch. We are getting really good at this whole tripod thing now too lol although it’s about time for an upgrade lol. I’ve linked our outfits below (some are similar items) and some of the kitchen decor too!
This fall I wanted to style some fun Halloween costume ideas to share with you guys! I’m very frugal so I like to pick Halloween costumes that I can DIY without having to buy anything. One of the icons whose style I wanted to re-create was Selena Quintanilla! My mom bought me the movie about her life for my birthday when I was little and I was obsessedddd. I love her casual 90’s style! Her concert looks would have been a little hard for me to re-create with pieces from my closet but her 90’s style is easy to replicate with closet staples. Most of the pieces in my closet are actually thrifted so you can easily find similar pieces at your local thrift store, but I’ve also linked similar items below for each outfit that you can get on Amazon! If you are looking for another easy costume idea, check out my Wednesday Addams blog post here, my Monica Geller blog post here, my Audrey Hepburn blog post here, and my Lorelai Gilmore blog post here.

Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month + My Colombian Roots
By Esperanza on October 16, 2021I’m a few days late but I wanted to share something for #nationalhispanicheritagemonth! My mom and her family are from Colombia, a beautiful country in South America that I have been fortunate enough to visit a handful of times. The beautiful necklace I’m wearing in this photo was my abuelita’s, one of the few pieces of her’s my mom gave me. My parents have also given me cowhide rugs, throw blankets, rugs, + other decorative pieces like this wind-chime that I love the style of! I’ve kept these pieces with me through all the moves over the years and they were a huge influence when I was decorating the space. They make me feel more connected to my Hispanic heritage! There are many beautiful areas of Colombia that I would love to explore and I definitely plan to travel there in the few years.
