Last fall, we had only been living in our Pittsburgh loft apartment for a few months and we barely had any furniture yet because we had moved across the country with only a few belongings and our labradoodle of course. So I was really excited about decorating for fall this year! My apartment is very boho chic so I tend to lean towards neutral, simplistic holiday decor. I found a ton of really cute and affordable fall decor finds at Target, Trader Joe’s, and Amazon. In this blog post I’m sharing my finds and giving so guys some boho fall decor ideas!
Back already with another easy Halloween costume idea! Who wouldn’t recognize the popular character Monica Geller from Friends and her iconic 90’s style?! Monica was another character that immediately came to mind when I was thinking of costumes I could easily DIY with pieces in my own closet because a lot of her outfits incorporate staples + basics I already have! I’ve styled 3 different looks inspired by her outfits in the movies. Most of the pieces in my closet are actually thrifted so you can easily find similar pieces at your local thrift store, but I’ve also linked similar items below each outfit! If you are looking for another easy costume idea, check out my Wednesday Addams blog post here.
Wednesday Addams Inspired Halloween Costume Ideas
By Esperanza on October 9, 2021This fall I wanted to style some fun Halloween costume ideas to share with you guys! I’m very frugal so I like to pick Halloween costumes that I can DIY without having to buy anything. Wednesday Addams always pops to my mind when I think of Halloween costumes, probably because her gothic style is so iconic and easy to replicate with a few key pieces in your closet! I’ve styled 3 different looks inspired by her outfits in the movies. Most of the pieces in my closet are actually thrifted so you can easily find similar pieces at your local thrift store, but I’ve also linked similar items below each outfit.
I’m FINALLY sharing a tour of our decorated Pittsburgh loft apartment! It has been such a long process and at times it felt like I would never be finished lol. When we moved across the country, I had to start over from scratch collecting new furniture, decor, and houseplants which let’s face it, get’s very expensive! I’ve always been a thrifter but I dedicated myself to thrifting the perfect decor to fill our home with, from that launched Urban Darling Shop, my online boho decor shop. Luckily as a full time content creator, I was able to partner with brands on a lot of major furniture pieces and the rest I thrifted or bought from Amazon, Target, etc. After a busy year and lots of delays, I finally felt like our space was “ready” to share.
Fall Fun At The Pumpkin Patch With My Fiance
By Esperanza on September 28, 2021I can’t believe it’s our second fall here in Pittsburgh, but this one is extra special because it’s our first year as an engaged couple! My fiance Schyler and I wanted to celebrate with a fun fall day at the pumpkin patch and of course we had to take some photos to remember it by. We have gone to the pumpkin patch every year for the past 8 years we have been together and I can’t wait to continue the tradition with our family in the future! We got to take a hay ride to the pumpkin patch, the corn maze, and pet some cute farm animals. It reminded me of the animals I grew up with on the farm in eastern Washington!

While living in Nashville, I thrifted tons of amazing boho decor! When I moved to Pittsburgh, I started thrifting for quality pieces for my wardrobe. Most of my clothing has been thrifted from a local thrift store here in Pittsburgh called Thriftique and Goodwill! The quality of the pieces I have found for a fraction of the cost is amazing, vintage finds, name brands, designer brands, and more. Thrifting has been a game changer for me and I love everything in my closet now.
I have been doing a ton of research for neutral but festive fall decor to decorate my apartment with this fall season so I thought I would round them up in some fall decor inspiration guides! One of the things that can be tough to find are unique faux pumpkins that have a bohemian feel to them. I love Fantasy pumpkins although the real ones can be expensive! I found some options that are similar as well as some other fun ones like felt and woven pumpkins. There is definitely a pumpkin here for every bohemian home!
I have been drooling over dried flowers, palms, and pampas grass lately. I love that they’re neutral and look great in my boho apartment all year round, but especially during the fall season which is right around the corner! I thought I would round up 10 of my favorite floral + greenery finds for fall on Amazon! Most of these are under $20 which is awesome, except for the more special finds like the Dried Banksia and the Dried Palm Leaves.
