While visiting my parents who retired in the Phoenix metro area, I was able to visit several coffee shops and cafes! I thought I would share the spots I visited for others who may be planning a trip to Phoenix or even moving there. Trust me, these spots are super fun and have such cute aesthetics! Schyler and I have been trying to catch the cherry blossoms in bloom here in Pittsburgh for weeks now! It seemed like we were waiting forever, we had such a long winter here in Pittsburgh, but we finally got to enjoy them this Easter on the Pittsburgh waterfront. The view of the Pittsburgh cityscape through the blossoms was breathtaking!
It’s been one long(ggg) and very cold winter here in Pittsburgh this year! The weather has been all over the place… some days I need just a few layers and others I’m clinging to my wools. I’m still wearing leggings under my go-to Levi’s most days! The outfits I’m sharing in this post have been worn on repeat the past several weeks. I thought I would share this look from a coffee date with my fiance Schyler last week! We grabbed my favorite drink, an iced oat milk vanilla latte, from my favorite Pittsburgh coffee shop, KLVN Coffee Lab. I loved this casual outfit for a day of exploring our neighborhood. It has a bit of a masculine look to it, especially with this mens vintage leather Averix jacket that my dad bought me at an antique store near Portland, OR. I paired it with my classic black Doc Martens, a vintage band tee, and my comfiest Levi jeans. My worn in baseball cap completes the look!
We just celebrated Indio’s 3rd birthday a few days ago! It’s always a busy time because a few days after Indio’s birthday is our anniversary. We laughed and cried while looking at Indio’s birthday photos over the years and old photos of him when he was a puppy. I can’t believe how fast the time has flown, it’s so crazy! Being his dog mommy has definitely been challenging at times, but very rewarding.
There’s something about a classic trench coat that just hits different! I think it’s Parisian chic, European feel of it. I always feel like I could be walking the streets of London or Paris in an outfit just like this. That’s why it was the perfect outfit to wear for a day of exploring the beautiful university district here in Pittsburgh with my fiance. The architecture there is just stunning and very European which definitely complemented my look 😉
I saw the cutest boho tabletop garland at Target the other day for over $20 and I realized I could easily DIY a version myself! I have seen these everywhere lately, they are so cute and you can style them so many ways. I’m sharing an easy tutorial on how I made mine!
It’s been awhile since I’ve shared a post about life, goals, or my personal thoughts so I thought it was about time to do an update! The past several years have been such a whirlwind for us! We moved to Nashville from Portland, OR, then moved to Pittsburgh, got engaged, and continued to grow our business all while living through this crazy pandemic. We moved to both locations hoping to be able to travel more easily and to find cheaper rent/houses than in the PNW, but both moves were expensive of course. For those of you that are new here or maybe missed it, we tried to buy a home when we first moved to Pittsburgh almost a year and a half ago now (watch this video here for the story) but we had to back out at the last minute unfortunately, which was super hard for me especially and it was definitely another financial set back.
I’ve rounded up my best gift ideas in this Valentine’s Day Amazon gift guide! While I sat down to write this, I tried to think about gifts that I would actually want, or that my fiance Schyler would actually want this Valentine’s Day. I have a few traditional gifts like perfume, chocolates, and jewelery of course but also some neutral, practical, and useful gift ideas. There is definitely something here for everyone!
Schyler and I are celebrating our 8th Valentine’s day together this year! The last couple of years we’ve opted to stay in for Valentine’s rather than going out to dinner and stressing. We love picking out a special recipe to make together for dinner with a bottle of fancy wine while listening to records. During the day, we love indulging in some of our favorite sweets! We started off 2022 by making a conscious effort to cut back on screen time and spend more quality together and it has been so good for us. So a special day dedicated to our love is such a great way to celebrate that!
